I actually brought it up with a few people. Both concurrently agree with me that the drop of the Player Choice line sucks. For those who don't know what the player choice is, when a game on a Nintendo platform sells over 1 million copies, the game becomes repackaged and sold as "player's choice", at a discounted price. Usually the price drop will be around $19.99. It was mainly used as a deterrence against buying used games.
Keep in mind that Nintendo is trading the "Player Choice" concept out for the "evergreen" belief to keep games on store shelves longer.
There is some truth to that. In contrast to Sony and Microsoft, it is fairly hard to look for old titles made in 2006 and 2007 unless it is a player's choice title.

Also, it is not impossible to find these old games, however, it is very hard to find Xbox360 games made in 2005 and 2006.
