The Nintendo Wii is a home video game console released on November 19, 2006. The Wii's main selling point was the innovative use of motion controls that its signature Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers allowed for. It became the best selling home console of its respective generation of hardware.

Me. The only good game that came out this summer for Wii is Madden. The only thing that's holding me over is that I just bought MGS3.

Everyone knows the Wii didn't have a strong summer. Only sports games and Order Up! are really worth mentioning.

Games in general for the summer months for the last few years has been lackluster, however this year's summer for the PS3, 360 and PC was pretty darn good. I agree that Wii's line-up wasn't anything special, but I'm not too worried about it, we'll see some games this fall.

I don't think it's very subjective. The Wii didn't have a strong summer. Boom Blox, Blast Works, and some Madden are all I played.

The real question is, who thinks that the Wii did have a strong summer?

Not so strong. In fact, almost no summer is full of great games.

Atleast the end of Q3 is gonna give us The Force Unleashed and Wario Ware Shake It.

I bought Okami and SSBB this year. That's all in the whole year. Actually, LostWinds and MLAAK. A couple VC games. But for actual games, two. Neither of them in the summer....

Yep, but no worries. The Xbox had a decent summer because it was fueled by exclusive downloadable content, such as Braid and Geometry Wars. Summers are supposed to be bad for games usually, but downloaded games don't follow that rule, and a lot of Xbox games came out.

I think between Madden and Strong Bad there were no real games that were worth buying. Of course that is traditional and the PS3 and 360 are just breaking tradition. Which is not a bad thing in their case.

Oooh, oooh. Me! Me! I'm not sure if the Wii has had a strong anything yet. I think the only time I played my Wii this summer may have been when I was finishing Metroid Prime 3 (which I had stopped playing for several months).

I agree. Every summer is usually very weak in terms of games, but this one was even worse, especially for the Wii.

The summer is never that amazing. Even if a game is 80%+ (even 90%)  complete by the summer, the crew working on it will usually work on it, improving it as much as they can, and then release it closer to the holidays.

Wii still sold very well though. To some degree, it seems like big game releases aren't even needed to move these consoles.

This is more fact than opinion. It strangely sell pretty well though, still.
