dont bother. I told him the same thing in another thread. Hes convinced this is the way to go despite countless threads about people suffering the RRoD. I just dont understand how people can be so determined.

Another prime example of Microsoft being stupid, cheap, and not caring for the costomer at all.
Its Funny how they spent $200 million to fix the problem when all it was just stupid foamy squares.
P.S. They fail to mention you need to make sure your red ring is from the overheating and not another part of the system failing, because i got the read ring from the video cable connection in the xbox frying and that wouldnt have helped and then i wouldnt have been able to send it in.

Anyway, another way to fix it permanently, is to trade it in and get a Wii :-)

They already demonstrated how to take apart the damn thing. You just need to track what you are doing. It isn't the most technical thing to be done. It looks pretty simple in my opinion.

I have been hoping the problem is more related to time played and length of gaming sessions. Now I have Little King's Story, the 360 and Viva Pinata or Eternal Sonata have gone into hibernation. I thought my kids might use it for Lips, but that stopped after just 2 days. I bought a very cheap copy of NFS Most Wanted, so that may get the occasional play time on a Friday or Saturday night.

The opening hour is fantastic. The music (classic mostly) is some of the best my ears have heard in a game. The art style is probably a love or hate one, but I love the sort of pastel thing it has going. It plays like a dream, very Pikmin like, but with a Harvest Moon feel. The voices are just like Chibi Robo. I just beat the first (easy) boss (cow) and throwing your soldiers at it was fun. My town is starting to grow - tomorrow, WORLD DOMINATION! I am going to invest a lot of time in this one. I love strategy games mind you.
As for the 360 thing, like you, if mine was to die, I will leave it to the experts and just send it in. Seems a much safer option.

What are you talking about? There is still a ton of reasons to complain. People shouldn't have to do this in the first place. Microsoft should be doing this fix and mass produce them...
