I turned on my 360 and it froze at the title screen then froze, I tunred it off, then on. It red-ringed. I did this for several times and got the red ring. Then I got it to normal, then It red ringed. Now I have turned it on and off several times and it's fine. WTF!!!

It means the red rings are inevitable for you. That sort of happened to me before I red ringed.

Your system probably isn't plugged in fully.

Yeah same here, that's what my 360 was doing right before it RRoD completely. I think most 360's are still within the 3 year warranty though until some time next month, so you should be able to get it fixed for free. Of course if you don't have a launch one you likely have longer.

Oh yeah like DR says check if it's plugged in all the way first. If it is, just keep playing till it red rings, you can't really avoid it if it's going to happen.

And do you know if the warranty is renewed when you send it in to Microsoft and they give you a new one?

I would likely give it a few weeks to a month, but everyone's case is different. Some 360's could last months and months.

this thing happened to me before with the screen freezing and i unplugged my ethernet cable so it couldnt sign on to live and then deleted some things from my hdd to free up some space. Plugged the cable back in, signed back on and everything seemed fine

This makes me a little scared. I'm going to buy a 360 by the end of the year. And I don't think Brazil has Microsoft's warrant thing... if mine breaks I'm doomed..."

I had this problem around 6 months ago, my 360 is still working. Although, it has been having a lot of problems as of late.

360's are poorly made. Most of them inevitably red-ring, regardless of how you take care of it. Luckily Microsoft has a very generous warranty, which yours is probably covered by."

you cant rely on 360s to work. because they break as often as you breath!

im not speaking as someone who doesnt own a 360, ive gone through a couple, and i really like the platform, the online, and the games. but the hardware is total garbage.
