hey there guys :P im attempting to download a arcade game for the first time (after all these years i finally hook up the 360 to the internet X_X) and im totally lost in the selection of stuff to get. Whats a good game thatll be worth the points? Im a great fan of action stuff, not much of a puzzle fan but willing to explore hehe :P I dont mind shelling out a good sum since this'll be the first one im gonna get, pls help!

I bet everyone will say Braid, but I would recommend Metal Slug 3. Always a classic. Braid only lasted me a day, but games such as Metal Slug and Contra challenge you to keep using less continues everytime. (And in no way is this an insult to Braid.)

possible Geometry Wars 2? Its an amazing game, and its got plenty of action. If you like platformers, then try the demo of N+. Its an awesome platformer, but its definitely not for everyone

I'm just going to throw this out there... Braid.

I jumped at Castlvania: Symphony of the Night... I never played it and its action RPG elements really shine.  Its an XBLA gem.  Plus, there are litteraly hours upon hours of gameplay...
Other than that, I've been so far really happy with Bionic Commando Rearmed.  For 800 point, thats alot of game...

Geometry Wars 2, Zuma, Poker Smash are my personal favourite 3 XBLA games.

Geometry Wars 2 is a good one to start out with.

Pac-Man CE, but that's just me.
You can get Aegis Wing for free I think.

I would say the best games to start out with are: Geometry Wars 2, Pacman: Championship Edition and Rez HD if you never played the game before.

Alien Hominid is fucking fantastic, it's certainly not lacking in challenge, charm and content, plus it'll make you laugh repeatedly.  It plays just like Metal Slug.

Ah yeah, Pacman CE too, that is an awesome game!

Some oldies that are still goodies are Ikaruga, Assault Heroes 2, Alien Hominid, Prince of Persia Classic,  Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Doom

What are you talking about? Banjo has been out for a long time you just got to know where to look, try your N64 for starters As for the XBLA release that will come in the fall."

Geometry Wars 2.  However, once you get acquainted with Live Arcade, get Braid.  It is magnificent.

It depends on what type of game you like.

Uno is good, so is N+, and Aegis Wing is free, so pick that up too!

Geometry Wars 2, Doom, Sonic the Hedgehog 1& 2, Worms.

Wait for Castle Crashers. Otherwise GW2.

Bomberman live if you have someone to play it with.

Puzzle Quest and Poker Smash are my favorites.

Geometry Wars 2, definitely.  It pretty much captures the entire spirit of XBLA in a single game.
