The Next Big Thing was alright. Nothing really stood out from it though. Just a decent adventure game.

But, sure, I'll give Yesterday a try.

Just the fact that there is still a developer that consistently makes good point and click adventure games with high production value is reason enough to support them if you're a fan of the genre. That being said, I actually enjoyed TNBT quite a lot, and think it's a great game.

@Legend: Pendulo has a good track record w/ the Runaway series, but TNBT seems just more of the same. Lacks innovation and the writing was not specially good, in my opinion. Why are they still making adventure point n click games? Europe, that's why.

@Winternet I dunno, I kinda liked TNBT as much as I liked the Runaway trilogy. And yeah, we definitely have Europe to thank for these games still being made today; but also publishers wouldn't bring them here if no one bought them. :)

Keep up the good work, Legend. I don't have the 30 bucks needed to preorder Yesterday but damn do I ever want a free copy of The Next Big Thing. That quick look made it seem quite decent.

Might be worth noting that TNBT is currently on Amazon for 20p.

That's a crazy good deal! Looks like it's UK only, though. It's $30 on amazon.com.

Visually, this and TNBT are stunning. I want to buy them for just their art style, but I have a habit of quitting point and click adventures before the "adventure" even starts.

Hopefully they will be on sale during Steam's Summer Sale.

Yeah, I love the visual style of Pendulo's games. I always play them in 1080p on my HDTV and they look amazing. I can't wait for the Steam sale.. I want to play this game now!

I bought Yesterday because it came with The Next Big Thing. I'm not that far into it yet but I think I liked what little I played of TNBT more than Yesterday. I wasn't surprised when I heard Vinny said he played it. It's great that GB has someone repping PC gaming/obscure Steam releases.

@returnofjake: Haven't finished it yet. From what I played, It's not as good as The Next Big Thing, but it's a decent adventure game. Considering that TNBT wasn't as good as Runaway 3, I hope this is not an indication of where Pendulo is headed with their adventure games. :P I still enjoyed playing TNBT and now Yesterday, though.

@HomemadeZiggurat: When did Vinny say he played Yesterday? The bombcast?

Vinny finished it and found it "pretty good". Go to 7:02:
