Apex legends is super fun - I'm really glad to see its been doing well and I'm excited to see how they update it in the future.

Playing this game like PUBG is a mistake

Dude, hell yes, I was hoping Murder Island would return for this game.

Seriously, Apex is my favorite game of this generation since Titanfall 2. Haven't been able to stop thinking about it since it came out. Wish I didn't have to go to work!

Jeff and Vinny have only played on consoles? This should go well...

Super cool to see more Apex - I'm having a blast with it. I do wish they would play more offensively. Making it to second place with 0 kills is super boring. I try to land somewhere safe then start hunting for other people. You get points for kills as well so it's not like you're forfeiting score by playing aggressively.

Doing an "Alexa order me something" joke through a video is always funny and never a really annoying thing to have to deal with. Wait. Might have got that backwards.

Getting spicy is fun in this game because it's so quick and easy to get into matches, compared to other BR's anyways. If anything, I think the crew should try slowing down. They tend to run around like madmen, not have the greatest situational awareness, and get murdered by teams that are waiting for that. They might be surprised by how many kills they can rack up if they just wait and get the drop on a disorganized or spread out team. Plus, it's advantageous to take a minute once in a while to go through your inventory and throw out stuff you might no longer need, or rebalance healing items among the squad.

Is there a reason Ben was ignoring all the Shield Cell and Shield battery drops?

Hello human! i too think the games are very epic! I'm glad we can agree on this like fellow humans! Epic conversation we had on this legendary internet!

I heard the whole reason people like PUBG is kinda cause Its the old mans battlegrounds in that their is that long wait and as the crew put it your super nervous hiding in that bathroom listening and listening. VERY boring to look at but fun for the people who started at PUBG. With fortnite they sped up the time it takes and made it more arcade like so your not super nervous and having fun....which is why it gained mass appeal. PUBG is copying the style but ARMA like games that try to say now im silly look at me can never be or dont feel right...seems pandering. Even if their is a frying pan. This Apex game seems to have the right balance. Its not apping off PUBG or Call of duty. Its just doing its own thing and unlike the other copies out today it isnt just screaming give me money im hip. well see how it goes. Also yeah the fights get going quick if you want and the area isnt just constant outskirts maps but lots of buildings etc.

I tried it, and still don't get the appeal of battle royale sadly. Still love watching GB play these games though.

I understand if you only have a console to play on, but if you have the choice between PC and console, why would you want to play a FPS on a controller?

Because the skill ceiling is higher on PC and they have a better chance of doing well on a console, Jeff has talked about it before. My squad got wrecked by shroud a few days ago, and earlier last week by Grimmmz, so I definitely understand his thought process.

Only 10 minutes in and Ben skips over a Scout to put a 2x-4x on a Devotion, didn't learn much in 18 levels, should be good!

Ben has the right idea for this game. Push in. Don't hesitate. There's so much mobility that allows for SWAT-like tactics to scare the shit out of hapless players holing up in a confined space. That's exactly what happened both times they got to 2nd place on this stream.

Of course, it helps to have a lot of situational awareness too so you don't run past shield regen items and headlong into battle without all your gear ready!

Also, being the late third party in a firefight is almost always guaranteed to end up in your squad's favor. When you hear shots going off in the distance, go towards it. You can get the jump on the enemy squad busy fighting another squad to down them, or you can wait for one team to win and start looting then jump them while they're busy going through the boxes and healing up. I've solo wiped teams numerous times using both strats, and I'm not some 16-year-old headshot wizard!

Does this mean a return for the Murder Island t-shirts? PLEEEAASSSEEE??

I've been playing this on PC and I totally understand it. I've been nailed with a sniper rifle from a very long ways away because I took some careless potshots on a clifftop, and I've been slaughtered by Olympic Headshotters in a firefight that I initiated. The people who are good at this game are probably the people who have cut their teeth on railgun headshots thirty years ago. I'm enjoying it enough so far but honestly it can be disheartening.

If Jeff is using a character to "do well with" im not sure he's looking at the abilities right unless he's saying he's not enjoying any abilities so far. I haven't used a character I havent thought was useful, so thats interesting.

I'm officially hooked on this game. I guess this is what people felt when they first played PUBG.

One good fps player on staff in the future would be really nice to see, after watching so many streamers who make their living by being good at these games lately it is hard to go back to GB videos and I've really loved the site for a long time. Their mix of humor with even just ok skill would be awesome (also more accurate reporting about games in quick looks, but I digress)

Tuned in for 5 minutes. Jeff and Brad get downed, Ben says I'm coming, stops for 10 seconds to try to pick up a worse gun and its two ammo boxes while the enemy is charging him. Fails to pick up a single thing, dies. What a shit show.
