Your all-time favorite video game character.

No idea. Truthfully a concept I never thought much on. Characters I enjoyed include:

Agent 47 
Prince- Prince of Persia Sands of Time series 
 
Besides those no one really. Of course I would say Gordon Freeman however he is a silent protagonist and doesn't really have a "character" besides what I give him. TBH this post was made with the thought of protagonist's. I will come back when I have given more thought to all game characters, not just ones I play as.

Either Glados from Portal, or Garrus from Mass Effect 1 and 2.

Donkey Kong. That guy is just the greatest.

Shameimaru Aya... But maybe because her name is so fun to say... hmmm.
 
  

I tend to have a thing for any character that is completely obnoxious yet at the same time hilarious so my fav's are Kratos, Dante and Duke Nukem.

It was Samus Aran but I am liking Nathan Drake now

I've always had a weakspot for Raziel of Legacy of Kain fame, he is a great character, and I really want a new LoKgame!

Honestly? Probably Sonic. He's had a huge sentimental pull with me. I wouldn't ever argue he's, like, the greatest character or anything. But I love Sonic the Hedgehog. 

Couldn't narrow it down to one character, but to name some of my favourites..

Mario, Master Chief, Guybrush Threepwood, Sam & Max, Banjo and Kazooie, Kain (the Legacy of Kain and the Final Fantasy IV ones) and Solid Snake.

All of you are crazy saying Solid Snake when Big Boss is clearly better. His one story arc in MGS3 eclipses the whole Solid Snake saga. I hate you all!

This might just purely be because I'm currently replaying through Assassin's Creed 2 right now, but Ezio is also a pretty good character. Hm... in the same vein, I also really liked playing as Niko Bellic. 
 
Most of the characters in Mass Effect 2 are fantastic, too. 
 
But none of these characters from recent memory have anything on Manuel Calavera.

 If I had to pick just one, I would go with  Nathan Drake. 

I just love the lore and backstory with this guy.  I have quit WoW now but he was a fitting end to my experience and the expansion pack.
