Overview
Populated by numerous eccentric characters such as Harry Stewart, Diane Ames and the surly sheriff George Woodman, Greenvale is a pretty bizarre rural community that is plagued by whispers of a mysterious murderer known only as " The Raincoat Killer". Could he be behind the recent gristly crime that has taken place? Its up to visiting FBI agent Francis York Morgan to find out.
In reality, there is a town named Greenvale in the state of New York, though it is unclear if this location served as any kind of inspiration for the town seen in the game. It would seem likely that the city is based on a amalgam of cities in Washington State, since that is where location scouting for the game took place
Trivia
HEY BRO, DID YOU SEE MY GUITAR ANYWHERE?!The Milk Barn actually exists, in a town called Snoqualmie, WA. Unsurprisingly this town is also where a lot of filming for Twin Peaks took place. The town also features a Diner(that was used as the RR Diner in Twin Peaks) that resembles the A&G Diner.
