Mass Effect 3
Game » consists of 19 releases. Released Mar 06, 2012
When Earth begins to fall in an ancient cycle of destruction, Commander Shepard must unite the forces of the galaxy to stop the Reapers in the final chapter of the original Mass Effect trilogy.
Are you buying the Mass Effect 3 CE?
No and after the announcement of all the pre-order DLC, cross-game, action figure, artbook and teacozy bonuses, I won't be buying the game at full price at all.
Come back to me when there's a complete version of the game (or if they manage to accidentally release all the DLC for free on XBL again).
No. I absolutely love the Mass Effect games, but all I need is the base game. I don't think the extra stuff is worth the extra price.
Also, the whole, "stop whining, we'll put lady Shepard on one side of the collector's edition" thing put me off from it. You don't ignore lady Shepard two games in a row and then back down and give in to whiners. It shows weakness. WEAKNESS I SAY!
I really want to get it but the price is a little too high then I would want to pay, I think £65 is the cheapest I have seen it. If anyone from the UK has seen it cheaper then let me know.
Was there ever even a "complete" version of ME2? I honestly don't recall, but I don't remember one so you might be SOL.No and after the announcement of all the pre-order DLC, cross-game, action figure, artbook and teacozy bonuses, I won't be buying the game at full price at all.

Personally I am not getting the CE at all, I rarely buy CEs in general. Actually looking at my collection, I don't have a CE for any game. Some of them I would love to buy (I always thought the Fallout 3 one looked AMAZING), but idk man - to many other games I could spend that money on.
@Zenaxzd: If it doesn't happen, I'll just buy the game when it's cheaper and all the DLC is discounted. Same thing really.
I'm not saying I think everyone should do the same, but I don't see how this type of thing is good for games/gamers at all and I just want nothing to do with it.

The PS3 version was released later and came as a complete package with the DLC that had been released up until that point.
Yes I'm buying CE.
That said, I don't really have a problem with DLC in general, so meh.
This, added to the sharp dip in giving a shit about the franchise I've experienced over the past few months. I'll get it next year sometime perhaps. No and after the announcement of all the pre-order DLC, cross-game, action figure, artbook and teacozy bonuses, I won't be buying the game at full price at all.

I've never bought a Collector's Edition, but I may get the ME3 one. It comes with a ton of extra shit, and I'd really like it.
However, that's an extra $10 on an already-hefty price tag. Which isn't much to add for all the stuff you're getting, but it is a good bit of money for me. Especially when I've been eyeing a 3DS lately.
Nope. I'll probably
it a few years after launch, so I get the most complete and hassle-free experience.@WinterSnowblind said:

Thats my thing. I didn't get into Mass Effect until winter of 2010 I think basically because Jeff said it had some awesome moments and such, but there was jank... I didn't know until I gave it a try that when GB guys say "jank" thats kind of a good thing... its playable, just a little broken around the edges. But when I finally did get into Mass Effect, I bought an Xbox 360 copy for like 25 bucks, beat it in like a months time, and bought Mass Effect 2 when it was 9.99 on both the 360 and PC.
I dunno, I loved Mass Effect 1 and then was kind of luke warm on ME2. I think I liked the "jank" in ME1 with the great characters, locations and setups rather in ME2 seemed way too dumbed down like they were going for the mass audiences, and I fear that ME3 is going to be even worse.
Isnt the statue stuff just booster packs for multiplayer made up of stuff that you can get normally? As far as i know the collector rifle from the art book is the only multiplayer item that is exclusive to promotions?
Getting some stuff for playing amalur isnt a bad thing because that game is okay and you should play it. (and go on a killing spree)
If i had the physical space for all that stuff I would totally get it, but alas, I'm going to have to settle with just the game.
I use pc , not a console person. I will do as I everytime did: first play, buy game later if I LIKED IT. This way I had never regrets that I spent my money on crap games. I advise you all to do the same ;). You're welcome :) !
I am picking it up. I always really like the special edition materials that they pack into the Mass Effect games. The only SE/CE/Ultra editions of games I buy are the Halo games and Mass Effect.
CE on pre-order since July. So yes, absolutely. I wish I had a CE of the 1st ME, but I didn't know I was going to love it and rented it first.
I'm not buying it at launch so I might not be able to get it. However I hope not a lot of PS3 players want the collector's edition so I can snag one up once they drop in price. Seriously I got the inFamous 2 Hero Edition for $100 and thought it was worth it, I still use the bag to this day, but seeing it like 4 months later for $50 on shelves kinda hurt a bit :P
Yeah, I am. If I'm going to be gambling on this game being complete dogshit or being the best thing in the world, I am going to raise the stakes as much as possible.
At the very least, I'll have a patch to sew onto my backpack, and I can't imagine Clint Mansell fucking up the soundtrack for anything.
yea. i'm gettin it, but i had to order it off amazon because gamestop stopped taking pre-orders for the CE so ohwell. atleast there was no shipping cost sine it costs nothing for ordering it for release day. that part is pretty nice. xbox 360 is my platform of choice btw. it's where i started. it's where i'll finish.
Yes, I have had it pre-ordered for awhile now. It is the first game I have ever pre-ordered and is the first collector's edition I have ever bought.
My second pre-ordered game will come a month later with Xenoblade Chronicles.
I don't see why you wouldn't get the CE when it comes with a tonne of dlc. Guns, missions, robot dog. Seems awesome to me. Also here the pc version is 90 for regular, 109 for CE while the console ones are 100 regular 125 CE. @WilltheMagicAsian said:
I'll probably pick it up on the Steam Black Friday sale.
AHhaha you're funny, cause it aint ever coming to steam =P
