Admiral Steven Hackett

Admiral Steven Hackett is the commanding officer of the fifth fleet and an admiral in the Alliance Navy. During the events of Mass Effect, he gives Commander Shepard optional assignments related to the Systems Alliance. He is stationed at Arcturus Station.

Adrien Victus

A brilliant leader and tactical genius, Turian Primarch Adrien Victus is a crucial ally to Commander Shepard in the Reaper War.

Ann Bryson

The daughter of Dr. Garret Bryson.

Aria

Aria is the owner of Afterlife, a Nightclub on Omega. She is also a very powerful figure on the installation in the Asteroid, having many sources of information, resources and guards.

Armando-Owen Bailey

An unorthodox human C-Sec officer. He is voiced by Michael Hogan.

Ashley Williams

A blunt, no nonsense marine, Gunnery Chief Ashley Williams is one of the first squadmates who joins the crew in Mass Effect. She remains with Commander Shepard potentially throughout the game, and if pursued, can be a male Commander Shepard's love interest.

Balak

Balak leads the terrorist group of Batarians in the first piece of downloadable content for Mass Effect, Bring Down the Sky. He despises humans, and attempts to crash Asteroid X57 into the human populated colony of Terra Nova.

Blasto

Blasto is a fictional character featured in several films throughout the 2180s and beyond. He is known as the Milky Way's first hanar Spectre. Numerous stories have been devoted to recounting his adventures.

Commander Shepard

Commander Shepard is the main protagonist of the Mass Effect trilogy. Throughout the game, the player's decisions can affect Shepard's personality, consequently changing how both individuals and entire races view him/her and the human race. Key choices can even affect the outcomes of situations throughout the story.

Conrad Verner

Conrad Verner is a huge fan of Commander Shepard. He can be found in the Upper Markets of the Wards in Mass Effect 1 and returns in Mass Effect 2 wearing replica N7 armor and can be found in a bar on Illium.

Dalatrass Linron

Dalatrass Linron is the leader of the Salarian Union in 2186. Described as a "queen bee" of Sur'Kesh's wealthiest bloodline, she retained her position by a narrow margin in a recent election to determine the leadership of the Linron bloodline.

Daro'Xen vas Moreh

Admiral Daro'Xen vas Moreh is a member of the quarian Admiralty Board. She is known for her keen scientific interest in the geth.

David Anderson

Former Captain of the Normandy and possibly the human representative on the Citadel council. He is voiced by the actor Keith David

David Archer

David Archer is Dr. Gavin Archer’s autistic brother.

Diana Allers

Diana is a Systems Alliance reporter and a new addition to the Mass Effect franchise.

Dr. Chakwas

Dr. Chakwas is the Chief medical officer of the Normandy in Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3. She is very polite and exhibits a mother-like attitude towards the crew.

Dr. Gavin Archer

EDI

EDI (Enhanced Defense Intelligence)is the on-board AI of the SSV Normandy SR2. It assists the helmsman in piloting the ship and relays information to the crew.

Gabriella Daniels

Gabby is introduced as a Cerberus engineer in Mass Effect 2 and defects to the Alliance in Mass Effect 3.

Garrus Vakarian

Garrus Vakarian is a Turian Agent and member of C-Sec. He is a possible squad member in all three Mass Effect games.

Grunt

A Krogan who joins Commander Shepard's team in Mass Effect 2. He is younger than Wrex, but just as aggressive if not more. In his debut trailer he was seen charging the enemy similar to the Krogan warlords in the original game.

Harbinger

In the Mass Effect series, Harbinger is the first Reaper ever made who manipulates the Collectors against Commander Shepard.

Henry Lawson

Father of Miranda Lawson and Oriana Lawson, as well as the former's nemesis and her reason for joining Cerberus.

Jack

A powerful biotic, Subject Zero is one of the new crew members for Mass Effect 2. Shepard first encounters her on the prison ship Purgatory.

Jacob Taylor

A Vanguard in the Alliance Navy, Jacob Taylor is one of the few survivors of the Eden Prime massacre. He is the main protagonist of the iPhone game Mass Effect: Galaxy, and is a member of Shepard's squad in Mass Effect 2.

James Vega

James Vega is a new addition to Shepard's team in Mass Effect 3.

Javik

Javik is a Prothean who narrowly survived the annihilation of his race. In his time, he was the embodiment of "Vengeance."

Jeff "Joker" Moreau

Flight Lieutenant Jeff "Joker" Moreau is the pilot of both the SSV Normandy and the Normandy SR-2.

Kahlee Sanders

A main part of the Systems Alliance, most known for her work with the Ascension Project. She is in the Mass Effect 3 mission Grissom Academy: Emergency Evacuation.
