A common way for RPGs to work around the awkward problem of the main character having no canon name, is to give their protagonist a cool sounding title or alias that everyone knows them by, including the fan-base. These are examples of this trend.
An interesting case, in that he DOES actually have a canon name, but his "Daemon Prince" name is up to the player to choose, and so he has his title of "God-Slayer" that is used in lieu of any one name choice being favored over others*
*Although let's be real, most favor the name "Daniel"
Unlike most examples, she eventually got an official name: Meetra Surik
Technically not from an RPG, but still fits this otherwise: customizable, no canon name, known by an alias, etc.
