Looks cool, I'm super impressed by the graphics and I like the emphasis on weapons.

I'm not too brushed up on the Ronda Rousey thing, but what I heard is that she didn't want to fight a trans woman who'd gone through puberty before transitioning. I've heard some people like Joe Rogan argue that this is unfair due to changes in bone density, hand size, etc but I have not heard any counterpoints and have no expertise myself.

In any case, I think the game looks great but I can understand someone not wanting to engage with a game if they feel insulted by its cast.

@wheelhouse: I think posts like this can be helpful in pushing people to acknowledge that things like this may be bad for them.

Not that I think free to play games are inherently bad, but I do agree with OPs point that shady games prosper because theres a ton of marks out there who falsely believe that they have more control than they really do.

I'm not sure if I think lootboxes should be more regulated or not, but I do believe the conversation around games with these business models should be critical and suspicious. And not built around the assumption that because people have free will that any amount of effort by developers to hook them is acceptable.

Wreck It Ralph 2: Not a fan of this one. The movie deals with Ralph struggling with his friendship with Glitch. The movie has probably three or four lengthy scenes where the characters talk about toxic friendships and the result is that this feels more like a filler episode of a CW drama and less like an actual movie if that makes sense.

I feel like this is a bit of a running theme with Disney's newer movies where it feels like they're really beating you over the head with exposition for their themes. My nephew was bored, I felt pandered to, I'm not really sure who these movies are for anymore.

The only thing here where I feel like people are really entitled to a refund is with the special edition bag situation. In that case, it seems like they really didn't deliver what was promised.

In terms of the actual game? We all had the same info about the game. Previews, reviews, etc. I used that information to not buy the game. I'm not a big fan of people demanding refunds for no particular reason.

@nutter: that's a great list. Add kingdom under fire and that covers pretty much everything.

I think it sounds cool. More balanced mutations so I dont pick up the same ones every game and no scaling mobs is great. I'm also interested in that new game mode they mentioned.

@sammo21: I'm definitely not playing as much as I expected. I really, strongly dislike some of the mechanics. Reversal edge might be my least favorite idea in any fighting game, and Supers feel a bit too strong.

@mezza: I don't know man, I've worked customer service jobs where people have acted like a jerk to me over situations beyond my control. I can honestly say that some dude asking a crummy question would not have rated as a bad day when I worked those gigs.

Again, I'm not saying "they announced the wrong game, tear them apart!". I'm saying that they hyped a big announcement for diablo this year, charged 200 dollars for a ticket to the announcement show, and then someone asked a mean spirited question.

There's a lot of shitty behavior in the gaming community that makes me embarrassed to be a part of it, but this is not one of those things. This is a negative (but not overtly personal or aggressive) reaction to a show that was marketed towards fans that blizzard doesn't seem to particularly care about.

@mezza: Was people asking snide questions at the QandA really that over the top? It's not like they were making personal attacks, they were just making their opinions known.

Which, for a show they paid 200 bucks for, is personally valid in my books. Especially considering just how little effort went into actually making this event worthwhile for the fans.

@efesell: Unfortunately, I spend a fair bit of time on the overwatch forums so I know what you mean.

That said, I've never seen them bo at blizzcon or try to provoke blizzard staff at blizzcon. The behavior we're all discussing in this thread- I actually haven't seen before. And I don't think its unjustified. The bare minimum I would expect at an event like blizzcon is a good faith attempt at showing products for their fans. In that basic goal, I think blizzard really failed this year.
