I keep saying to myself that the second the Joy Cons weren't cutting it for a game I'd get the pro controller. So far it's been fine. I might end up just picking up the cheapie Hori controller as a backup, though.
@blackheronblue: I personally really liked the puzzle gameplay. There’s even a competitive following for the game, so I’d hardly take it as gospel that it’s “not a good game”.
We can't have a Christmas tree because one of my cats is a terror and would wreck it. Luckily my wife is half Jewish so we have a tasteful menorah instead.
I'm definitely on board with this podcast. Giant Bomb was built on hip hop references, and the absence of Jeff dropping rap knowledge on the Bombcast in recent years was sorely missed.
I'm definitely with you on this OP. I haven't decided my GotY yet. In a year with a generation defining Mario game and an equally exceptional Zelda game, it's going to be a tough one to decide. But the fact that Hollow Knight is even in the conversation for me speaks volumes. Do not sleep on this game.
I’m really hoping that Hollow Knight gets its due, but I don’t think any of the staff put significant time into it. That’s a shame, because it’s definitely in contention for my personal GotY.
Due to the Hot Wheels expansion being released this year, it's Forza Horizon 3. Even though it only released last year, it's likely the game with most playtime of the past few years. Even if I've done all the Championships for every course, I'll still pop in for a couple MP races or just to cruise around the world.
Same here. FH3 plus the two expansions is easily the most fun I had this year from an older game. It was also my first Play Anywhere game, and weirdly enough I made extensive use of that feature to play on both my Xbox and PC.
