I just reinstalled the game today and was like: "huh..did I notice that that V was 2 exclamation marks before?..." Its such a coincidence you posted this today hahah.

So, im honestly not sure I noticed when it just came out but I did just happen to notice it today xD

I think this actualy ties in incredibly well with mgs vs themes of having differing interpretations of the same thing now that I think about it. Is the V in mgsV supposed to signify that its the 5th metal gear solid?(but it isnt even, its like the 6th) Is it supposed to just be the letter V for venom. or "V for victory"/Peace. OR like you just pointed out 2 exclamation marks merging into one....which you could also interpret as having meaning regarding mgs V xD OR it could be all of those things, none of em exclude the other. Its all on you how you see it.

Kinda like how everyone interprets the boss's will differently.

@sam2: @sam2: that sounds 100% like NIls holgersson...but thats one of those old " european cartoons" from the 80s which turned out to be made in japan so its actualy anime like heidi xD I cant find anything about a game of that franchise though.... This is like the most iconic imagine of nils holgersson though and its precisely as you describe with the blond hair, goose and castle :P :

@kinggiddra: Cool to see someone post about these games semi-recently :D

Im just getting into kingsfield 1 myself as we speak (think im almost finished with the third floor) playing blind without looking anything up about it and I am ADORING it. I feel like every bad point about these games gets sooo overblown. Sure it took some getting used to but probably not more than like half an hour or something, not a big deal at all. Could the game control better? yes of course, no doubt. But im playing on emulator (obviously, considering im playing the first kingsfield translated in english) but havent felt the need to change the controls at all. The game seems perfectly built around em as is.

As I understand it the games just get better with each entry and considering how much im already enjoying the first one I cant wait to work my way up. Couldnt disagree more with the op about this series not being anything like the souls games. Kingsfield 1, as archaic as it is, already manages to give me the same kind of exploratory/figure it out-kind of satisfaction as the souls games, it even already has the patented from software shortcuts.

In general I am amazed at how well everything in kingsfield 1 is working for me. I expected it to be super impenetrable but at least the first one doesnt seem to be like that at all. So im not sure id agree that these games "were always bad" considering the first one already is pretty stellar haha.

although I did already know what I was getting into somewhat by playing a little bit of shadow tower a couple years back. Back then I DID change the controls but having played kings field with normal controls now im not sure how advantageous putting the look controls on the stick is with how the rotation and looking up/down works anyways.

@ntm: Still sounds like its the upscaling...I cant immagine ghost of tsushima running natively at 1800p, its probably stilll internaly upscaling with some reconstruction artifacting like most ps4pro games.....but maybe the hdr is bad too haha I know practically nothing about hdr. I havent played the game or watched the digital foundry analysis yet either so.... :P

@lonelyspacepanda: i thought it was just 'cuz hes the new one with abby. And it seemed to me like Abby always got just as much shit as ben, but I rarely watch gbeast content anymore so that may not be the case anymore?...I somehow doubt it :')

Austin also constantly got shit. And so did Dan but Dan rose above it with his....lets call it "heelness" :) Freaking Patrick constantly got shit back when he was the newwest member. Its always been like this afaik.

Hard question, like in terms of quality and amount and how long theyve been keeping up the high quality Id say its nintendo no doubt....but I personaly despise a lot of nintendo music xD I still remember clearly as a child being driven crazy by the music in super mario world whenever id fail over and over and over. Ive heard many people say the music in (old) nintendo games (considering the new ones are all easy as shit) keeps them from becoming frustrated because its so cheerfull, on me thats always had the complete oposite effect lol. (although music affects me a lot in general I guess, in bloodborne or darksouls for example turning off the oppresive soundtracks makes bossfights impossibly easier, it almost feels like cheating, but in that case it seems a deliberate choice and its the fun of that game to overcome the oppresion. )

love konami and capcom but mostly for their output from the nes-ps2 era and the same pretty much goes for square with some exceptions here and there but I guess that goes for konami and capcom too.

Pretty sure sony owns a good amount of great osts too but im blanking on which ones for a sec...All I can think of atm is demon souls and skyblazer haha :')

Honestly I think I might agree with the guy that said SEGA would be it if it included ATLUS games.

And while Fisk0 brings up a good point about ea im not sure id personaly consider many of those he named "soundtrack gold" theres definitely good stuff in there though dont get me wrong. And EA does own a goshdarn LOT.

n64! n64!

They arent as bad as people make em out to be....and if it turns out vinny does hate it after one episode he could always give up on the game and spare everyone the suffering and skip the 3d entries :P
