If I'm daydreaming at work, it's usually about Seattle, Glacier National Park, or Columbia, Missouri. I love all those places. Those, or the county dump!
@Brandy: Haha... nice! I wonder how long it'll be before we just start stealing the actual content of our posts from each other like a pair of parrots locked in eternal discussions about achievements and trophies?
I wasn't a fan of PGR3, either. It had some nice touches, but overall, it just felt a bit lackluster. Ridge Racer used to feel that way for me too. I haven't played a NFS game since Underground 2, and I hear they've pretty much just gone downhill. That's a shame, as Underground 2 is one of my favorite racers.
I just got a fresh copy of inFamous not half an hour ago from Amazon, so I'm pretty much sitting here at work drumming my fingers until I can get home and try it out. Damn you, work! Always getting in the way of my habits!
And how is Avalon Code? After the disappointing Suikoden Teirkreis, I'm looking for something to play on my DS and am thinking about yet another meaty RPG.
@Sunjammer: You nailed it on the head. Lowe's humor wasn't so much filthy as it was a silly take on the bachelor life. It wasn't Shakespearean, but it also certainly wasn't trash. I'd love to see Lowe involved in another game somewhere down the line. As much as it pains me to say this, I just don't think it should be Leisure Suit Larry after the latest atrocities.
It's sad to think that an old favorite series is going down in such gloriously awful flames... but while my heart is telling me to vote no, I'm strangely curious (and curiously strange - ba dum bum bum) to see what kind of a trainwreck the GB crew can really make out of the latest Larry.
I'd play Sonata first, Vesperia second. Vesperia is a much more in-depth game, and you can rip through Sonata really quickly. Think of it as an appetizer.
I've played through Quest for Glory and the second Leisure Suit Larry probably close to five or six times apiece. Console-wise, I've played through Super Mario World somewhere around six or seven times.
Wow, that's pretty cool. I'm not really hyped about this game, so I might not tune in, but I'll keep an eye out for it on Friday if I'm not busy with work and the home life.
I'd love to see new 2D and 3D versions. With the 2D, I'd like to see the classic gameplay of Super Metroid mated with a bigger world, more secrets, and a stronger story element. Someone mentioned earlier that they would like to see the Federation or living planets - I completely agree. For the 3D, I think the formula of the recent Prime games works fine. Honestly, I wouldn't change much except perhaps introduce a new storyline and threat. Samus's potential adventures could be boundless, so I'd explore that a bit.
