Nah. The structure of Odyssey seems very different, with lots of easy to attain moons. Also, they’ve implied that there are a TON of objectives in the game.
I played through once with Primrose and died at the boss. I didn’t fight enough in the dungeon area I think.
I came away with some positive feelings, but I kinda echo your thoughts on it. The Primrose story has some interesting potential, but it feels like a miss overall. The whole thing just made me feel uncomfortable.
I really like the look of the game, but you’re right, the color palette is too bland. It gets so dark and monotone that it’s hard to tell what you’re looking at.
Depending on what the final game turns out to be, I may give it another shot. But I’m pretty sceptical at the moment.
Probably my favorite non-Beastcast Bakalar appearance was for the Phantasmagoria 2 playdates. If you sign up for a premium trial definitely check it out.
It's a hurtful racial slur. It's got a lot of baggage, in America yes, but not limited to it.
Also, I don't think anyone is implying PewDiePie is the most racist person, but by being so popular he has the attention of millions of people. I don't watch his stuff so I'm not trying to make a judgment call. But just from the headlines that show up, I really have no respect for him.
More on topic, I don't know that I've ever taken a hard stance on boycotting a game or developer. I understand why some may disagree with the Campo Santo move, but personally it doesn't bother me. If a developer pulled videos because of criticism of their game, I'd view it differently. Perhaps that is where this leads, but it's hard to be sure.
It's bothersome to see people come out to actively defend someone when they've made a mistake. By all means, let this guy defend himself should he decide to, then make a judgement call for yourself. But don't feel the need to come to his defense.
This happened very recently with another personality within the games industry.
These are grown men we're dealing with. I understand that it's possible to build a connection with someone who you watch regularly, but that doesn't mean that they would consider you a friend. The relationship is business-like at the heart. Like a business deal, it can go bad. You can part ways.
I also don't like the idea I see brought up so often, that the gaming community, online interactions in particular, are just toxic by nature and that it will not change. That type of reasoning is self defeating. I'd love to live in a world where someone using hate speech online was met with immediate criticism and not with a shrug. Maybe then people of all backgrounds could feel safe online.
I'm assuming they just missed the part where I mentioned that I already purchased a console. I understand why someone would really push for PS4 over the Xbox, I was honestly close to going that route. But between having backwards compatible games I'd like to return to (don't have a 360 anymore), loving the Forza series, and mainly being drawn to non-exclusives, I decided to just go for whatever console went on sale first.
