I requested Drew be on the bombcast last week and low and behold, here he is! While I'd like to think it's a reaction to my comment, this likely was already planned. But in the case the GB office revolves around my requests, let me test the mighty Giant Duder Gods again:

Summon forth a Hardcore Dave for next week's show. Better yet, bring him on UPF and have a good ole fashioned Dave-off between Hardcore and Business Dave. I've been rewatching some of those old Random PC Game videos with Vinny and sure do miss the guy!

But I thought popularity led to intimacy...?

I don't know if it's just me, but "downloading" this video is getting a lot of buffering for me. I've tweaked some things to try to fix it, and "re-downloaded" it, but after about 10 minutes of smooth play it starts buffering incessantly. Gigablast service; Windows 10; Chrome.

This is unwatchable...

Man i hate listening to Ben talk about games and just not knowing the names of characters or what anything is called.

Normal "streaming" options seem to be working with no buffering. Oh, and Drew is still The Man Scanlon. Cloth Map is cool, but I miss him talking about straight up video games. He brings an air of legitimacy to our belovedly frivolous past time.

That is the best thumbnail for a Bombcast I've seen in quite awhile.

The way Ben was trying to describe Kill La Kill was headache inducing. Some of the things he said about the Anime was flat out wrong too, also it was dissapointing to hear him skip the controversy around the anime where the female characters were involved in sexual assault and the show is frame it in a very terrible way...

Saying you're too old for de_dust2 is like saying you're too old for strafe jumping in Quake -- it's more a sign that you probably didn't play those games as much as you think. de_dust2 has been around since early 2001, which coincided with CS's rise as a competitive FPS, and not long after CS left beta with the 1.0 release.

I feel somewhat bad that I still pay Drew every month for Cloth Map, yet I've barely watched any of the content. But I'll gladly pay him for simply existing.

@faridmon: There's no controversy though? Even as someone who would put it in my favorite shows of all time, I'd say "those scenes are unfortunate and bad", which I think is the general opinion.

Though also they're like, 2 scenes over 25 episodes that amount to grand total of just over a minute. I'd say anyone who enjoys say, Game of Thrones, doesn't really have a leg to stand on in calling out Kill la Kill for it. It doesn't stop it from being one that coolest, best action shows to come out in years. (The game is pretty cool too)

But whatever, I'm arguing about an anime on the internet so I've already lost.

I’m kinda upset with Brad not including Bethesda’s bullshit on the backwards compatible Xbox 360 versions of Doom and Doom 2 in the news.

@epidehl: I can remember exactly one scene that's like that, and the way it's portrayed is supposed to be uncomfortable? Like, it's not supposed to be a 'fun' scene or anything. I dunno. Don't recall there ever being controversy either, but oh well.

The game is pretty entertaining, the fights in the story where you fight more than one person at once suck though, the game's definitely not designed for it and it's a nightmare. 1v1 is solid though. I still wish they just made an actual 2d fighting game or something, as I'd love to see more of the Goku uniforms the Elite 4 get via alt costumes or something and more characters :(

I consistantly cannot hear the end of Brad's sentences.

The Bombcast crew thinks nothing of the Epic exclusives on PC that force you to sign up for and use an account and launcher you don’t want that isn’t even the game’s publisher’s own platform. They basically brushed it off in a previous episode as the toxic internet whining about something. However, now that Bethesda wants you to sign up for an account for a game they actually publish themselves it’s unacceptable and “just another account to get hacked in 4 to 6 years”.

@craymen_edge: You CAN kill him on Venus, but it leads to a game over.

The joycon fix thing is US only. I have spoken to Europe's customer support and none of this is true.
