The lack of music after Vinny says “CORRECTIONNNS” actually startled me

There's a reason for why I link this. It's both as much related to as it's unrelated to one of the things said during this episode of the Beastcast. It's also the way I chose to deal with what was said at that moment. It's also just a great song by a great group. All in all, it's all good.

@dezinus: I dunno, I kinda felt bad for Jeff here. I could be wrong of course, but I’m pretty sure Abby just said she had a sound bar that said 5.1 surround on it or something. I was in the same boat last episode, thinking she’d been scammed and/or bought something emulating surround, and just refused to listen when Jeff tried to explain what 5.1 means.

Gonna echo this sentiment. I've beaten Red Dead, put probably somewhere between 40-50 hours into it and I still have no idea how the quick draw system works. It makes absolutely zero sense.

The Quiet Man is some Neil Breen-ass ish.

@milkman: You half press the trigger to slowly fill up the circle in order to have slightly more "dead eye" time when aiming. If you just press down the trigger you go into a real-time aiming sequence, which generally works just as well, but it's not as cinematic.

Angry Vinny is the best Vinny. His response to The Quiet Man echoes the Film and 40s viewing of 2 Fast 2 Furious, and I am just absolutely delighted to hear Vinny's fury.

@puchiko: You know you don't have to re-pull the the trigger button...you just pull it half way to fill it up then, when filled, pull it the rest of the way.

I love Abby; I hate her scream. It might be funny in person, certainly isn't in your ears.

@pinstrype24: The point is that its not made clear in the game. A lot of other people including the Beastcast crew couldn't understand it as well.

Many a True Nerd has some awesome stuff! Recommend him for anyone who likes ridiculous fallout runs or strategy games.

Man Dan and I had very similiar diets. I was also very picky and expanded my selection around 25-26.

Also he is correct that Breyer Delights > Halo Top.

Really don't like Jeff in this episode. Doesn't play/barely commentates on videogames on a videogame podcast, wants to mansplain about some soundbar bullshit, and does a 'sorry you got offended' apology. It's grating to hear him when I have beastcast in the background.

@danryckert I had a similar thing happen to me in RDR2... was riding through the swamp and randomly 3 guys who looked like they had white paint over their face and bodies came out and without making a sound pulled me off my horse and hacked me to death! It was still very early in the game for me and I fumbled with the controls trying to get my gun out. Haven't come across them again at all, and I don't want to look it up, not yet anyway, want to find out what the deal is with those weirdos

I think Vinny described the Blizzard situation extremely well in the way he was able to emphasize with the people at that convention and kinda see past the QA part. Although to be perfectly honest I didn’t think that question was that dickish - the guy sorta said what everyone in that audience was thinking.

I was really hoping to hear their thoughts on Tetris Effect. Did I miss it?

As a fellow service developer, I hope this podcast is regular. I have loved everytime the engineers are on UPF and talk shop!

@lyndbako: Yeah I was thinking the same thing when they said that. I get that it's a crappy game, but how is it blatantly racist? That one line that you get to hear from the gang member at the beginning?

I remember Abby mentioning a sound bar a few times, but like Jeff don't remember anything about separate surround speakers, so I thought she was talking about virtual surround, too. When I hear soundbar I assume people only have one speaker.

The rear speakers on my Vizio setup are mono so someone look into this and issue a correction if necessary.

The Quiet Man leans into Latino/Hispanic gangster stereotypes absolutely blatantly (and horribly) right out of the gate, which is probably the least of what they're referring to when they call it "blatantly racist". Also, this is a preemptive "don't @ me", because I'm not interested in debating you about it.

White Castle originated, and is still based, out of Columbus, Ohio. There are a bunch in Metro Detroit, but I haven’t gone until a few months ago when they launched Impossible Burger sliders. They are great and cheap.

yeah blizzard has an extremely efficient "fart-huffing" feedback loop with its fans, which is cool if youre into what they deliver consistently. i guess.

Alex having a problem with someone making a snarky comment during Blizzcon about the new Diablo right after the Beastcast's 15 minute trash talking rant on The Quite Man is more than a little ridiculous.
