Yeah a lot of the death sequences are pretty gruesome. That is why I avoided dying at all costs :p

I'm the exact same way with all horror games. Couldn't get past the first 10 minutes in any Resident Evil game.

Personally, having every single death cause you to lose your head or leg regardless of how much you were hit (or what you were hit by) kinda got old after a while. Maybe it's just the video though. Still intend on checking it out eventually, just too many other good things out I need to get first.

Not going to watch that one hahaha. Im so excited for this game and want to keep all the surprises and a surprise, but wow this gets me more excited lol.

This game appears terrifying.

Maybe invest in some more armor, Isaac.

What's that suit good for anyhow? It doesn't seem to protect him at all. Might just as well be running around naked.

They should totally throw in a Mega Man model to replace Issac .

ouch* shouldn't of ate breakfast before watching.

I'm pretty sure you only die like that if you are low on health and then get hit.  It isn't 'normally' a 1 hit kill.  <('-'<).  Definitely worth getting.  I'm only on Chapter 4 but I have yet to actually die >.< - The game is fun!

I'm kinda cheating cause I'm on easy ;).  I can't play horror games for long, much less when they are hard as crap to play :D.

His screaming sounds so agonizing when he's electrocuted. They really did a great job with this. He's an engineer, he's never seen any of this shit before, and you can hear him screaming when those tentacles grab him. Really convinces you that your character is as scared as you are. The deaths in Dead Space are some of the most brutal and visceral I've ever seen. It's absolutely horrifying.

I've never seen death this well-done before. Fine job.

I get the feeling that I'll experience most if not all of those my first time through. But I suppose its that good looking a game why should I care.

Well now I won't buy it

I play with surround sound headphones on, so it's really easy for me to get completely enveloped in the tension and atmosphere of Dead Space. I'm with Ryan on it being emotionally exausting. I can only play for about two hours at a time.  I can distinctly remember last night running wildly around in a room with flashing lights, no way to get out, and multiple baddies, all the while having to listen to tense, fast music. This is a great game!

7:45-7:50...fuck that, i'm not going anywhere near this game. I just soiled my shorts.

I gotta tell you, Bioshock had me so tense I saved every five to ten seconds... and that's a game with almost no death penalty.  I pre-read the walkthrough for Doom 3 for every section just so I'd be slightly less startled by the monster closets.

I'm going to play Dead Space, but I will prepare myself with emergency underwear.

Isaac Clarke = Isaac Asimov + Arthur C. Clarke, right? Have they come out and admitted that yet?

That kind ruined some of the boss fights for me but it was worth it. I'm on chapter 6 now and I can confirm, this game is amazing.

I remember there was a RE4 version of this.  I'm not going to watch it now, but this game looks great.

the part where the little head craws into the guy and he turns into a zombie thing is fucked...

they forgot the death where he gets eaten by that smaller enemy...
