Resident Evil HD Collection Revealed in Famitsu

Some hot Resident Evil news has cropped up in the latest issue of Famitsu. According to the ever-dependable Japanese gaming news Web site, Andria Sang, the Japanese mag has a total of four pages dedicated to a previously unknown title called "Resident Evil Revival Selection." Details are scarce as good translations creep onto the Internet, but it’s safe to go ahead and confirm that Revival Selection is an HD "remaster" that combines Resident Evil: Code Veronica X and Resident Evil 4. 

What’ll be different about these versions, or what particularly will earn them the remastered status as opposed to being mere rereleases, is still up in the air. Apparently, Famitsu says that Ada Wong’s “Separate Ways” campaign scenario from the PS2 version will be included in this latest version of RE4, a revelation that doesn’t necessarily inspire confidence in terms of new content creation. I should also note that Code: Veronica has seen a ton of releases since its initial one, just as RE4 has.

I remember watching an episode of On The Spot with RE4.  I wonder how CV will play.

I should play RE4 right now!!! DAMN that was a good game.  Still can't believe those graphics on the gamecube.  I'd buy an HD remake no doubt!

Liked Resident Evil 4 but don't see it as one of best games ever made. 

I want some HD 123 action. Not sure how you can up-res those PS1 graphics though....

RE 4 was goddamn brilliant.  RE 5 was... not.

I loved Code Veronica and RE4 but I just hope they live up to my nostalgia.

I already played RE4 HD.

Resident Evil 4 was a good game that I enjoyed playing.

I just hope the cut scenes will bring in equipment you have on like the GC version and not prerecorded versions like ps2.

I really didn't like 4 but I did like Code Veronica.

Here's to hoping for Move controls as an option. I'm also optimistic this is just to drum up excitement for a Resident Evil 6 announcement at E3 this year.

I'd kind of prefer a current gen port remaster of Resident Evil Zero and the Gamecube Remake of Resident Evil 1.

I'll be the first to admit RE4 is an absolutely brilliant game but its kinda dated now. Same for Code Veronica or have I just become another jaded 26 year old..

Burning question I never got an answer to. Maybe someone will now. Why the hell does the box art say "4 Resident Evil"? Is it significant in some way, or was the graphic designer just crazy?

YES! , stoked for this. Now they just need to release all the other games in the series :) I may have them all on the gamecube but I would love an updated version.

I would so buy this if it was an HD remake...unfortunately it's not.

I'm exciting about this. I liked four a lot and never played Veronica I'd like to play a better look version of 4 then the horrible looking Wii version. I'm sure it looked better on the cube.

This would be ridiculously awesome good; even if it's just new textures at a higher resolution.

they should have remake them using re5 engine. Veronica was awesome on the dreamcast and the last great original style re

Oh dude... RE4 is like RE5 but way better! This is great news.

I dont know why RE4 gets hated on by SOME of the hardcore fans... the first 2/3s of that game was very Resident Evil. Kill evil guys, get herbs, solve puzzles, backtrack. Once you got toward the fortres it went off the rails, but it was still a fun ride.

Id rather one or two to be honest I think they would just be a bit different to the usual amount of shooters being released lately.
