Well me and some Battlefield-loving Giantbombers have been talking, and we thought that in honor of the Battlefield franchise, and the long awaited and hyped-as fuck-Battlefield 3, we wanna get people to install their BF2 and 2142 copies and get bombing runs in those good old games going :) .
Alot of us PC folk already own one of those two, if not the two. and if you dont, they're quite cheap on the EA Store.. im buying 2142 just for this
please, no BF2 vs. 2142 hatred. they're both amazing Battlefield games and the feud is a thing of the past now

Technical Zone (thanks to MrKlorox for his great and comprehensive help on this) :
The basic idea is to
- buy vanilla BF2 / vanilla 2142,
- patch BF2 to 1.41, then to 1.5 and you're ready to go
- patch BF 2142 to 1.5 at once, and you're ready to go. (the 1.51 patch hasnt been made official yet, so dont use it for now)
- 2 EA threads to help with any installation issues: Thread 1 , Thread 2
2142: If you own Northern Strike, don't worry about installing and updating that because the servers will update to the recently finalized 1.51 patch soon which includes the NS maps. But you should probably wait until DICE announces the patch officially before updating so you'll have enough servers to play on.
