Soooo...
Downloaded it on my 360. Matchmaking is taking forever. Anyone else struggling with it?

Bionic Commando is the follow-up to the NES classic of the same name. The game revolves around the protagonist's bionic arm used for swinging, and combat.
Bionic Commando Demo
Took me atleast 10 minutes to find a first match, and then after that it was fine.
Also, the game isn't even on shelves. Everyone's a noob, christ.
I had a lot of fun with the few rounds I played. I did horribly the first round, but the second round I ended up winning.
I'm still very much looking forward to the game, I can't say for sure if multiplayer will be a huge draw to me but I know I'm going to love the single player.
Tried to get into a match for 20 minutes, said fuck it and went back to playing VIN DIESEL: WHEELMAN.
"Captain_Fookup said:"Tried to get into a match for 20 minutes, said fuck it and went back to playing VIN DIESEL PRESENTS: WHEELMAN."Fixed."
This thread is over.
if you're waiting that long to find a match just back out and re search...I did and then was getting games instantly to at the most barely a minute search. This game is fun as hell to me...I can tell I'm gonna love Bionic Commando, I mean, they just give you a basic deathmatch game on this, and I think its great. Can't wait to try other modes and mainly the single player.
Meh, it was okay I guess.
But I REALLY got pissed off about the fall deaths, my bionic arm is uselss for falling from buildings :(
But I really want to play the SP anyway.
"Meh, it was okay I guess. But I REALLY got pissed off about the fall deaths, my bionic arm is uselss for falling from buildings :(But I really want to play the SP anyway."I thought the same thing, until I realized that if they allowed you to attach way below the main playing surface, people would abuse the hell out of that fact, and just hide away for long stretches at a time.
I don't understand why they chose to make this an MP only demo, you'd think they'd atleast have a swinging tutorial to introduce you to the controls before you jump into MP.
Anyway, i played a few matches and the shooting seems very basic but i enjoyed swinging around and zip-kicking enemies. I can't wait to see how the SP campaign plays.
I'm a big fan of the multiplayer. Even after being less than enthused with what I've been seeing in videos. The QL posted here made it look a bit more fun but still wasn't convinced.
If the SP can deliver and be more than 5 hours (I'm watching you GRIN) then this may be a buy for me. Right now I think many will be picking up RF:G before this. Anyone else agree?
Well like I said before, I had fun with the demo. I like how the mechanics mesh together in a competitive environment and all I can really hope for is a couple of bigger MP maps to go with CTF. If there are bigger maps, I'm probably going to be playing it for awhile. I think it's a little self defeating to limit maps to a confined space in a game that includes such a unique and fun way to travel about.
The singleplayer still looks amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
From what we've seen in the QL it seems like the SP modes have very wide open spaces. I'd have to think that the MP maps would mimic the SP boards in that way.
Also, I think I know the reason why you can't zip and attach to the sides of the map. Think about it. If you could kill a guy and run off the side and hide until others approached and rinse/repeat, it's be about as bad as spawn camping.
I found the demo to be pretty damn terrible. With a game that has slightly complicated (and newish) controls, I would much rather be given the option to play SP so that I can get accustomed to the control system, rather than be forced to play MP only (or at least some kind of tutorial). I just wanted to get used to the swing mechanic(etc), but it's not so easy to do this when you have a bunch of people constantly shooting/killing you. I was also surprised at how bad the game looked in MP...I know games look worse in MP in order to run better, but I was still a bit surprised at how bad it looked. I'm not saying it looked awful, but it wasn't as pretty as I expected, especially compared to what I've seen from the SP.
This demo has made me lose all interest in playing this game right now and it really makes me question if Capcom knows what they're doing with their demos. RE5, SSF2THDR, MvC2, and BC...these are all some of the worst demos I've played in recent memory and I don't know why Capcom keeps releasing these awful demos.
"Matchmaking takes under 10 seconds and i really enjoyed the game. Swinging around and shooting noobs is very satisfying."isn't everyone a noob right now?
Matchamking sometimes gets a game within seconds soemtimes it never does and I need to back out onto the main menu but sicne my first game, I think its a pretty enjoyable experience. Even when I do get torn to shreds by the machine gun or this wicked long range shotgun thing, just running around swinging and even firing with just the pistol doing all this is still fun.
I feel sorry for all you people who can't come to grips with the controls while you're being shot at, because once you do, this game is a lot of fun. Yes, matchmaking sucks right now, and they darn well better fix it for the full version. And yes, the gameplay is ridiculously short (five minutes) and limited (no friend invites), but the gameplay itself is quite good.
This isn't the best looking video of the game, but it really gives you a good idea of how cool the gameplay is when you know your stuff a bit:
Hmmm...
Other than some crappy matchmaking at first, I think the multiplayer is actually fun. The controls felt pretty good to me. I only fell to my death once out of the three rounds I played, so I don't get what some people are crying about.
"Give my a giant practice arena for me to test out the control scheme, don't just drop me into a multiplayer match. I'm not sure exactly what they were thinking. I liked what I saw, but I didn't have much room for any experimentation or a good time to get accustomed to the game. "fixed
I thought it was kinda dumb. I agree a single player demo with tutorial would've been better.
It makes you wonder why they release demos like this. I mean, I'm sure this demo is going to turn off way more people than turn on. Capcom will probably lose a lot of sales just from this bad demo.
