BioShock

Bioshock is a series of award winning first person shooters published by 2K Games. The first and third games were developed by Ken Levine's Irrational Games, while the second installment was handled by 2K Marin.

Characters

Andrew Ryan

Andrew Ryan is the founder of Rapture, the undersea Utopia that is the setting for BioShock. His name is a partial anagram of Ayn Rand, author of the novel Atlas Shrugged, which served as the main inspiration for Ryan's philosophies and aspects of BioShock's story.
Atlas

The cunning, intelligent, and ruthless arch-enemy of Andrew Ryan, and the leader of the opposition in the power struggle which led to Rapture's collapse.
Augustus Sinclair

Augustus Sinclair is a key figure in the BioShock franchise and serves as the player's guide in BioShock 2.
Barbara Johnson

One of the playable multiplayer characters in Bioshock 2. She is a loyal wife and mother whose splicing has caused her to think that Rapture is her own household.
Bill McDonagh

Bill McDonagh is the head building engineer for Rapture. His story spans the rise and fall of Rapture, as chronicled in the novel Bioshock: Rapture.
Blanche de Glace

One of the playable multiplayer characters in Bioshock 2. She is an acclaimed actress, temperamental in social interaction and still seeking a satisfactory lover.
Booker DeWitt

The protagonist of BioShock Infinite, Booker DeWitt was once a Pinkerton agent. He's currently a fixer, and he's hired by a mysterious man to be sent up to Columbia to rescue Elizabeth.
Brigid Tenenbaum

Dr. Brigid Tenenbaum is a German genetic scientist who helped originally develop ADAM. She is one of the main characters that you come in contact with in Bioshock.
Buck Raleigh

One of the playable multiplayer characters in Bioshock 2. He is a self-made businessman who came to Rapture to get away from the restrictive trade laws on the surface.
Charles Milton Porter

Creator of Raptures main security and time keeping computer "The Thinker" in the Bioshock 2 Minerva's Den DLC. He helps Subject Sigma through Minerva's Den.
Daisy Fitzroy

She is the Leader of the Vox Populi in Bioshock Infinite.
Daniel Wales

This person is a minor boss in Bioshock 2
Danny Wilkins

One of the playable multiplayer characters in Bioshock 2. He is a football player who has enhanced his game through use of plasmids.
Diane McClintock

Once the lover of Andrew Ryan in the game Bioshock, Diane McClintock is one of the few sympathetic characters found in the underwater dystopia of Rapture.
Eleanor Lamb

Daughter of Sofia Lamb, Eleanor plays a role in BioShock 2. As prototype Big Daddy Subject Delta, the player's goal is to locate Eleanor.
Elizabeth

A main character in BioShock Infinite, Elizabeth is being held against her will on the floating city of Columbia.
George Washington

First President of the United States of America and Commander of the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War, George Washington is often considered the "Father of the United States".
Gilbert Alexander

A scientist who, after volunteering to be a test subject, is in the process of losing control of his mind as part of a social splicing experiment in Rapture. His split personality calls himself Alexander the Great.
Grace Holloway

Grace Holloway is a former jazz singer who was blacklisted by Andrew Ryan for criticizing him.
J.S. Steinman

Dr. Steinman is a high-profile cosmetic surgeon in Rapture, obsessed with physically altering women into more "perfect" forms. His deepening madness compels him to perform increasingly drastic surgeries against patients' wills, citing Picasso as an inspiration.
Jack

Jack is the silent protagonist of BioShock, whom the player controls throughout the game. He is a young Caucasian male and prior to his unwilling arrival in Rapture, he was a passenger on an airplane that crashed near the lighthouse that provided entry to the underwater city.
Jacob Norris

One of the playable multiplayer characters in Bioshock 2. He is a construction worker who has strongly pushed for labour reform in Rapture.
Julie Langford

The scientist responsible for creating Arcadia, the dense forest that provides oxygen for much of Rapture.
Louie McGraff

One of the playable multiplayer characters in Bioshock 2. He is a former prisoner and sadist who is talented in the art of causing physical pain.
Mariska Lutz

Mariska is a woman who lived in Rapture with her husband and daughter, Masha.
Mark Meltzer

Mark Meltzer was the center of the Bioshock 2 promotional campaign. His story is heavily alluded to in the game.
Martin Finnegan

Appears as a character in BioShock.
Naledi Atkins

One of the playable multiplayer characters in Bioshock 2. She is a former pilot who has since sought out Rapture's splicing as a means to adrenaline rushes.
Oscar Calraca

One of the playable multiplayer characters in Bioshock 2. He is a former cosmetics businessman who now has a penchant for throwing parties and charming women.
Peach Wilkins

An ex-employee of Fontaine's Fisheries who became the leader of Frank Fontaine's team of smugglers.
