I respectfully disagree. Haven't touched the multiplayer or spec ops but from a campaign stand point it was lack luster. I borrowed it from a friend and returned it to him the same day... Too short and no where near as good as Call of Duty 4's campaign, Modern Warfare 2's and even Black Ops.

@Mikewrestler5: Read the article. It destroyed the record. Largest five day gross used to be 650 million, set by Black Ops. This one grossed 775 million in five days. I'm actually rather disappointed with the news, as unsurprising as it is. Doesn't directly affect me, but it certainly affects the industry.

Voting with your dollar doesn't seem to be terribly effective when there's 775,000,000 votes against you.

How unfortunate. The campaign was hideous and dumb. No pacing. Just non-stop "eleven". And I was ready for a wild ride . . just not . . . this. Then, the multiplayer felt like a huge step back. After one day, I assumed COD had finally made a huge misstep and while it may have big sales numbers (purchases based on liking previous titles rather than merit of the current one), it would be regarded as a real disappointment. 
 
 
Instead, I keep reading reviews that it is "clearly the best in the series and another big improvement over the last game".
 
 
I can't even wrap my head around it. Campaign aside, have these people actually played these shitty and ugly maps? Have they seen the return of predator missile rapes and heartbeat sensors?
