Alright so help me out, people like me, (people who have call of duty 4 and have not gotten to gold cross)  Don't get me wrong I love cod4 but if im not done with cod4 should I get cod waw

I would say a bit fat no, but then that will be countered by 5 people coming in defending WaW, a game that doesn't deserve to be defended at all, so I guess you're on your own.

Well I for one would recommend picking it up at some point in time if you really like COD4, essentially they are the same game in both the single player and multi-player portions, (except for the obvious differences being time setting and available weaponry.) There are some new perks and tanks are able to be driven online as well. So basically if your hankering for a new setting and different weapon sets but still want the same familiar CoD4 gameplay, then I would say yea pick it up. Thats not to say the game isnt without a few faults and complaints here and there but like i said if you liked 4 i dont see why you wouldnt like 5, but also take note it isnt by any means another re-creation of the searies, it is at its core the same as CoD4.

Not sure unlike Cod4 the online gets to boring and stayle, the rank system is rubbish its to spread out and not rewarding enoutgh so your going to get bored of the guns fast.
The map layouts are good but there is a glitch on every one wich is bad and annying to play on. Also the map cycle is rubbish as well (yey) so even if you like a map be prepared to play hundread of times a day, so yeah your gunna get bored of that, but if 3more of your mates have it get it on the sole perpose of Zombie Nazi's its some of the greatist fun multiplayer you'll get.

I would say pick it up cheap because the single player is fun.

Contrary to what the other people in this topic have said, it still is a good game with enough differences from 4 to warrant a purchase... if you can take that kind of game again.  If you are getting tired of 4, I suggest skipping it.  No, it is not as tightly wound as 4 and largely both the weapons and levels in MP aren't as fun to use or play on in WAW then in 4.  There still is lots of fun to be had if you are a CoD fan, and I suggest buying it when the price drops.

no, rental only. if you were hooked on cod4 online, you will find codwaw online boring and it has TERRIBLE re-spawning. 

I think cod 4 is better then cod 5. so do yourself a favor and wait for the modern warfare II, if you want a really good game to play!!!

I would say no, because personally I'm done with WWII games and their old ass guns. I mean come on, the Call of Duty series has lasted LONGER than the actual war it's based on. But if you like that kind of stuff don't let me stop you. Although, if you've waited this long you might want to wait for a price drop.

Unless your getting bored with 4, or have alot of friends playing it your probably fine with 4. All my friends got WAW and so did I, 4 just sat on my shelf so I sold it, I really shouldn't have but I don't see myself putting it back in since everyone plays WAW.

The only reason you might want to get it is because Jack Bauer is a voice in story mode. Thats pretty bad ass. Oh and Zombies is fun.

Well if you have an Xbox there is a demo on marketplace that gives you the first mission on both single and co-op play, if you don't like the look of that then you should wait until autumn when Moder Warfare 2 comes out.

Don't bother.  I actually went back to playing COD4 once I got level 65 in COD5.  It's not a bad game, it's good, how could it not be fun when it's running the COD4 engine.  It doesn't feel that new or different, and what treyarch did do differently, I didn't like.

WaW isn't terrible. In fact, it is a pretty good game. But it is very similar to 4(slightly worse) and not worth your money if you only have some much to spend. I would recommend buying something new and fresh.

I got it for $25 over Steam, and WaW is definitely worth THAT. I dunno about a $50 purchase plus tax for the consoles, though. If you can get it cheap, do it. The singleplayer is what you'd expect from a Call of Duty game, and the multiplayer is a pretty exciting WWII reskin of CoD4 with slightly less grenade/artillery spamming, and doggies!

Don't buy W@W because Modern Warfare 2 comes out in November.

CoD4 is all you need, I got WaW when it came out and it was a mistake the game shouldn't even belong in the same league as CoD4. I only continue to play it because its all my friends play. And truthfully if you havn't bought it yet don't its not worth it now. Just wait until MW2 because after that comes out your copy of WaW is going to just turn into a paperweight.

I own both and love them both. They both offer some different things like COD4 Arcade mode and WaW Zombie mode.

Ultimately its up to you but I would say it is worth having both.

No. While WaW is defiantly not a bad game, it can't hold a candle to COD 4. Co-op and Nazi Zombies is entertaining for a while, but the campaign lacks the impact of CoD 4's brilliant campaign.

But, hey, Modern Warfare ships this November, just wait for that.
