Castle Crashers: A love note to the old arcade games.
For 1200 microsoft points you can get a variety of content including entire games. There's a wide choice of different games but one that will stand out above them all is Castle Crashers.
Castle Crashers plays like the classic arcade beat 'em ups from the old days of games, while adding a variety of new game play mechanics to make sure it's not just another beat 'em up, but an update to an old genre of gaming. You'll hack 'n slash and fight huge monsters, some whacky and some that will just whack you. The boss fights are some of the most inventive i've seen in a game for a long time, rather than just rely on them being big, they make you put some thought into each of ther battles.
You can also co-op to up to four players and this is the best way to play the game because it gets more frantic and chaotic, in a good way. Doing co-op means when you die your buddy can try to bring you back to life with a mini-game and you can do the same for him, but this is during combat, so that means you have to contend with enemies still trying to beat on you.
There isn't much of a story, a evil Wizard comes to your kingdom and smashes the place up and takes your stones and it's up to you to get them back. This means you'll be going through allot of levels, as well as enemies. This for me is where the game shines, each level is well done and the developers show off lots of creativity and humor in the levels and enemies.
For 1200 Microsoft points, this game is well worth it. Even after you've beaten through all the levels, you can go back through them all to further level up your character, find hidden items, weapons, etc. So do yourself a favor and Dl one of the best games out there available on the 360.
