Finger on the Trigger
I don't think there's anyone on the planet what calls themselves gamer that doesn't like this game. It's a time-travel RPG with all the bad bits of standard RPGs taken out of it. Namely, the god-awful turn-based Final Fantasy stuff, the popularity of which I just can't fathom. Nothing sounds more "action-packed" than navigating menus and then watching your characters slowly take turns performing actions while you have absolutely no control over how they attack or defend. Thankfully, Chrono Trigger avoids that and goes for a "real-time" (pardon the pun) combat style that works.
The story is awesome, and the characters and time-travel plotlines are good enough to stand neck-and-neck with the best that Back to the Future or LOST has to offer. Bring on a sequel, Square Enix. You know you wanna.
