I really loved Dragon Age 2, so I can't wait for this one to come out. I'm well aware of the improvements that DA2 could have had, but I'm sure that the game devs are aware of them as well. :)

I hope they just put more time into this. No more Kirkwall, no more repeating dungeons, no more "side-quests" that consist of finding a random item than returning it to someone you've never met before and will never interact with again.

Vinny will probably play this one, too.

Well seeing as how many implications there were in DA2 as to where the setting of DA3 will be I'm not surprised they already admitted to working on it.  I wonder if they are working on any big dlc tho...

I still need to play DAII. Any chance of that going on sale?

Well, duh they're making a DA3.  I'll probably enjoy it whenever it's done.

Dragon age has lost me. I'll just play the witcher 2 or somthing good instead.

I was one of the people on the "DA2 more action based, awesome!" bandwagon. In fairness to me the only thing I knew of the series was my experiences with Mass Effect so I assumed it would be along the same lines, perhaps with swords? Turned out to just be a boring game. Not only could I not finish it, but I'm kind of annoyed in how many hours I spent playing it. They've almost tarnished their name with original fans and disappointed the mainstream they craved so dearly. I think out of respect for the lost and disillusioned there should be a mourning period before jumping back in.

Fucking Dragon Age II...  One of the worst games I've played.  It's nice to know they're rushing out a third one to cash in again.  The worst part is that they're sticking with the changes they made in Dragon Age II.  If you fuck up Mass Effect, your end will be final, Bioware.

I was a huge fan of the first game, dumping something like 90 hours or more into it.  I was fairly excited for the second game, but I still haven't really finished it.  It didn't grab me the way the first one did.  I'm disappointed about this news of a third game.  I mean I suppose it's okay that they're working on a third one... as long it doesn't see the light of day for at least 2-3 years.  No more of this one year turn around crap.

While DA2 was definitely a flawed game, I didn't hate it. If they could just not use the same dungeons a hundred times over that would be great. I still had fun with DA2, and will most likely play DA3.

As did I. The universal hatred for it is completely undeserved. It had it's share of problems but it wasn't a generic-ass, boring-ass, garbage-story-and-character-filled game like the first one was. :/

They need to spend some time on this one and make it something unique.  #2 was a amateurish random blend of poorly designed outsourced level designs, quests, and 3D "art".  They have a pretty deep pit to pull themselves out of.  I like RPGs but I won't buy another one of their games until they prove themselves worthy.

It's not the announcement of Dragon Age 3 that surprises me.  It's lack of announcement of ANY DLC for #2 that annoys me.  It took less time than this for the first one to get DLC and this was supposedly made with DLC in mind.  So where is it guys?

Why can't BioWare make something that's actually new anymore? Sequels are fine, but I'm worried that they may have fallen into a slump of only releasing Dragon Age and Mass Effect games for the foreseeable future. BioWare does great things, so I want them to think outside of the box.

Well, I strongly disliked Origins, and as a result never particularly got into DA2 (though it does sound overall better than Origins to me).  Always willing to give them a shot though, so if DA3 actually scrapes up a bit more of an original narrative, I'll be interested.  Will be keeping my eye on it

Finished DA1 5 times, did not play DA2 more than 2 hours. Which direction DA3 takes.. I'm really curious about that.

Hope it got space mining this time. Only thing DA2 lacked, really...

Hopefully, this one won't be disappointing as fuck.  There better be a Jonathan Frakes cameo or it's a no buy for me.

Prediction: Dragon Age 3 now has an action packed 6 hour story with online multiplayer. It introduces a borrowed idea from final fantasy as gunswords make their appearance.  They have borrowed some assets from dead space 2, making the second act all about the necromorph invasion. Most of this will take place in the same environments from DA2.

Edit.
I almost forgot, they fix the broken combat by replacing hawk, and having commander Shepard and all his powers and abilities wield the gunsword.  Your party's wizard now creates cover as his/her sole purpose for Shepard to hide behind.

I play DA2 like I play online first-person shooters. I can't stand it after more than 2 or 3 hours at a time. I did not feel this way about Origins, or even Mass Effect.

See, this is a problem and it means your game lacks the depth to make me sit down and enjoy it. I hope some of that CRPG makes it back into DA3, or it is a no buy for me.

Shovelware Age 3

i predict a character action game with QTE's and cover mechanics, also a vehicle section where you take the gunners seat in an ac130-magicks. To streamline the inventory management, they remove loot completely and you just pick up your enemy's weapons as they drop them. Also you make your team attack your target and move into position with the alt and F4 buttons.
