They should release Dragon Age 2 first lololol

Bioware, you've blindsided me once again. I'm going to need a while to digest this news.

Please take your time with Dragon Age 3 so you don't have to reuse the same dungeons over and over and over again.

I hope they play the witcher 2 and see what a real RPG looks like, DA2 was a joke.

I really don't get this jaded attitude towards DA, like they are REALLY milking it with 2 games in 3 years. That is an attitude that should be reserved for COD games and guitar hero (now finally dead thank god). 

Maybe this time they will take their time developing it and it will be awesome. 

I just hope they take the time to make more varied environments and a more satisfying story.  I really enjoyed both 1 and 2, however the clear winner is 1, for the reasons stated above.  Also, for Vinny's sake, I hope they don't have guys popping up out of nowhere to join a fight in progress.

It might be just me, but I feel this announcement has to do with the overwhelming success of its direct rpg competitor The Witcher 2.

I'm always up for more Bioware-style RPGs. Just hoping they're finally gonna start building more 'organic' and less 'modular' feeling worlds.Really hope EA starts building all games with Frostbite 2 and keeps on investing in R&D into their own engine - and for better and more efficient procedural production of top quality assets.Maybe they'll really be able to churn out a Dragon Age each year and still deliver an appropriate quantitiy and quality of assets.

Cool I enjoyed Dragon Age 2 so I'm all for more.

They worked hard on Dragon Age 2 for almost two whole years. Dragon Age 3 I'm sure they can slap together in one year and take the second year off to play The Old Republic.

While it may not have been Bioware's strongest game to date, DA2 wasn't a bad game.  I'm not gonna waste my time defending it since i know i won't change people's personal opinions so i'll just say that i'm glad that DA3 is coming and i'm interested to see what they do with it.

Though I did enjoy the secnd one, I agree with all the criticims it has received. I hope they take the complains to heart and make a better game this time around.

If they don't do something to majorly improve on the faults of DA2 or make a return to DA:O then I'm not even interested. I really hope this doesn't get released next year. DA2 proved that DA isn't the kind of series they can hope to rush out for yearly cash grabs without sacrificing quality.

Also I completely agree that they should take a long look at the Witcher 2 and learn from what it does right as an rpg that Dragon Age 2 doesn't. Never thought I'd have to say that about Bioware, but times change.

I have a feeling this game is going to be a lot more like origins than DA2 when it comes out holiday 2012 or early 2013.

Since EA acquired BioWare, their release schedule has been kicked up a hefty notch. The fear is that quality is being sacrificed to meet corporate demands. That's where the jaded attitude comes from.

I hear that they are adding two whole new dungeon areas.

I really did enjoy DAII, but it certainly had its flaws, and I think they can largely be put down to being rushed out. I do hope the third instalment gets the time it deserves.

And of course, it somehow manages to look even worse than DA2. Those textures are terrible. What the hell are they thinking...?

I'll see what they do with it first before having an opinion, but if it's more 2? uhhrrrrrrghghgh
