I would go outside in my boxers, and yell out something in Japanese, then proceed to do a pole dance with the nearest street lamp.

When I first saw the technical demo of FFVII for PlayStation 3, I was literally jumping up and running around the house because I was so excited thinking there was a remake. To me, if a remake was done correctly, I think it would be really amazing.

I also just don't want this to be just a graphical update, I know if they re-did FFVII they would re-do everything about the game. Combat, story, physics, etc.

I really honestly think they are going to work on a remake of FFVII, but will be quite a while releasing it because they are working on other projects.

That's probably one of the few RPGs I would play all the way through again (that and Chrono Trigger). 

Also - I wouldn't be suprised if, instead of a remake they release it on PSN...although that would be pretty huge.  But they did do that with Xenogears in JPN.

I would be happy. But I still own the original game (well two, one of them is a back up)
It wouldn't hurt my feelings if that's what people are wondering.
And at least I know what character I shouldn't give any items too if they Remade Final Fantasy VII.

I'd be happy, but not like bust out of a window to go wait in line for it happy. I have already played through it, so I know how good it is.

I would be excited, but it doesn't make sense for them not to make it. Remaking the most overrated RPG of all time, and imagine the money they could make.

I liked this game when i first played it back years ago, I replayed it recently and notice what a pretty sterile game it is. Only the music in it was half alright, so I would be happy but not that excited.

Well despite having a PSone during the heyday, I was never into RPG's so I never played FFVII and I don't want to go back to the dated gameplay and graphics. A PS3 remake with improved gameplay mechanics and graphics would mostly be appreciated

I've never played FFVII but I've always wanted to, my only JRPG experience is Lost Odyssey on Xbox 360 but I remember back in High School when FFVII was released so many of my friends loved it.

I'd probably be really shocked, and then check the statement that I had just read many a time.

Whether or not i'd buy it is another thing, but I'd like to have the opportunity!

Honestly, I'd just go "Really?" I mean, do we need a remake?
Square should devote more efforts into improving the current generation of the series, refining Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII.
And with the announcement of it going from exclusive to multiplatform, I believe that it should get as much attention and people assigned in order to
help ensure that the games will live up to the legacy of the name "Final Fantasy."

Honestly, my interest for the Final Fantasy games after VI is very small. I haven't really played any of them. Their style just doesn't appeal to me.

So probably with cold indifference, doesn't mean I wont buy it.

I'd be quite pleased, since I never got a chance to play the original.

I would love the chance to see the shinra co-oporation go down once more in HD

However at the same time  - there'd be no surprises
We know what happens (if you'd played the game)
We know all the plot twists and emotional hardpoints - and although the ps3 could probably allow us to read charcters faces and expressions a hell of a lot better than the psx ever could

So for square to actually go through with it is a bit of a lose lose for them

If they change it all  - the throw the games follow ups (I:e advent children, ceberus and crisis core) Out of whack

If they keep it the same then they are accused of just painting a next gen overlay

Maybe a new battle system? extra locations and just general cinematic awesomness would add the variety needed?
