$775 Million Dollars
<>
But seriously, how could she say it cost $775 million dollars, and defend that amount? It seems like anybody with any kind of sensibility would realize what an unrealistic number that is.
Modern Warfare 2 sold about 10 million copies as of June. That's 600 million dollars. So how would $775 million dollars on an event for Black Ops make any FUCKING SENSE?
And out of Bobby's pocket no less? Christ...
Also, remember that time she saw the unreal tech demo in 3D? Yeah, cool story sis!
Oh boy. <> for reals. I kinda felt bad for her but then I watched the video...
Yeah so according to Wikipedia, the Staples Center cost (in 1998-1999) $375 million to build. $375 x 2 = $750
Yes, they could have built it twice, then still had $25 million dollars to throw a party.

Why not just buy each person a car or crazy awesome home theater system? You could probably win over quite a few people that way.

Sure, her performance on the Bombcast was less than pleasant, but consider the tidal wave of inside jokes that have formed as a result.
" I've never listened to or watched a bombcast in my life, but I watched the youtube vid of that woman and I am content to never watch one, ever. What the hell? Seriously. "I guess you haven't missed the outrage and complaint this particular podcast have gotten? So you are going to pass on a weekly podcast based on one single episode that obviously sticks out as something extremely unusual (it's the second time it ever happened out of 100+ episodes). What the hell? Seriously.

She was only in two episodes, just dont listen to them and you would enjoy the podcast.
" Out of Bobby Kotick's own pocket, no less. "Quoted for truth.

Is there like a master list forum thread where we can see all Giant Bomb "memes"? I'm sure there's some I've totally forgotten that I would enjoy another laugh over.
http://www.giantbomb.com/podcast/?podcast_id=93" Could someone point me to the direction of the bombcast leigh was apologizing for? I missed last year's E3 bombcasts so I had no perspective on what the fuck is going on. Something about nazis? "
Whabam - there it is.
i still think the best part about the whole Leigh thing is hearing all the tounge-in-cheek remarks Jeff made at the beginning of the newest podcast. The bit were they said "fail" and "Cool story bro" and memed it up, and Jeff alluding to the poor quality of "some of the shows".
i would like to close with this
Cool Story Bro.
" that party objectively cost 775 million dollars. dyscalculia isn't an excuse when someone points out that the number she said is three-quarters of a BILLION dollars. or when you know how much money a dollar is. or when you're a business journalist. "I have dyscalculia as well and I can guarantee you I would never make that sort of mistake. And even if I did I'd realize I was wrong as soon as someone pointed it out.
I know this has got nothing to do with $775 million, but the North Korean news agency has just asked the US government to pay $64.96 trillion (with a capital T) in order to pay for attocities since the Korean war. I know nobody is going to take these guys seriously, but come on, that's a lot of money. I would be able to pay for the Staples Centre with Tony Hawk and all 83,870 times with that kind of money!
" @DevWil said:The best part of that whole thing was that she opened up claiming that she had inside sources on the seven-seven-five-mil (and falling back on some sort of journalistic integrity thing if I remember correctly). I love how as soon as the GB crew do or say one thing...all of a sudden everyone and their f-ing mom has to do it too. I don't know why this <> or 775 is such a big deal that people feel the need to keep bringing it up. I just know that as soon as the GB crew say or do something else on the bombcast it will become the new thing and this will go away. It's a never ending cycle.
just my two cents on the matter
