Did anyone subscribe AFTER the bombcast was made free?

I just got news from a friend of mine that, though slightly upset by the news that he would have to pay to get the bombcast, was so overjoyed that it was now going to become free again he signed up for a years subscription to Whiskey. I guess he felt like as Whiskey had done the right thing and stopped all this "holding the bombcast ransom" nonsense that they deserved some form of appreciative recognition.  

Seems slightly backwards but it makes sense I guess. It sure as fuck made me feel better, anyway. 

Anyone else signed up for a subscription after hearing this great news?

I'm actually way more inclined to actually subscribe now that they've kept the bombcast free. Now I just need to know if Prepaid Credit cards will work.

Well, I'm about to... whenever they feel like fixing the billing error that I keep getting.

I subscribed as early as I did in an effort to make it free, but I would be far more inclined to subscribe now if I hadn't yet.

I will be doing it sometime next week regardless of what happened to the bombcast.

I think maybe if more people had made a big deal about paypal support when Dave asked if people wanted it they might have gotten it together earlier. He seemed under the impression that supporting paypal didn't matter that much.

anyone who says they did would have ended up doing it anyway even if they didn't make it proper.

I was bent on subscribing before the great Bombcast Civil War of 2010 erupted.

Can't sub till Monday, the Bombcast had nothing to do with the wait.

Yeah i did but only because I didn't have the means till today.

I suddenly feel the strong urge to get a yearly subscription.

Well once I get some cash to spend anyways, right now a $5 meal sounds expensive to me.

Yes, I'm very glad that Whiskey has shown that they can actually listen to their community.  I wouldn't want to pay if Whiskey kept the bombcast split despite all the outcry from the people on these forums, but since they decided to keep it free, I'll gladly subscribe when I get my next paycheck.

If it was free, it should stay free.  I don't like people trying to tell me I can't play with my toys anymore, even if I wasn't playing with them before.

Thinking about it. This ransom thing was kinda stupid, but I'd still support this site.

I'm much more willing to subscribe now that the bombcast has been set free. But money is an issue, if i can sort that out then i'll subscribe.

They probally planed it all along, they made like an early deadline, they probally didn't expect so many loyal followers to subscribe that quickly. Then they kept extending the deadline, they were always going to make it free after that. They just didn't expect it to be done so quickly. Since they were going to make it till the 15th, it's obvious they were only holding the bombcast hostage and they got their demands. Great strategy, very well thought out.

When they add PayPal, I'll be subbing.

If the extra content is proven to be worth the investment by hearing user feedback, I may consider it once there is PayPal support.  HD videos does not sway me just yet, but I want to know a lot more about their live shows and what it may contain.

I wonder what the new thing for subscribers will be :O
