Mistaking Jeff for being Ryan, and vica versa

Happened to anyone else?
 
I remember when I first started listening to bombcast a few months ago, I only knew of Jeff back then, but also the heavy voice that is Brad.
 
But, for some reason, I imagined myself that it was Jeff being the "host" of the podcast, but when "jeff" said, what do you think Jeff, I went like :S
Only a couple podcasts later did I realize it was Ryan who is the host.
 
Ever happend with one of you guys?
I do of course hear the difference now, but boy did I mistake those two.
 
Would like to take this opportunity to thank the people that are GB, 
you guys are truly one of the most professional games journalists out there, your views and commentaries are said in both a serious, and yet, also has some sort of laid back attitude.

Never, they have very different voices.

I have been listening for about as long, and I get confused too. Still, with every Bombcast I get a little more familiar with who is who

They all sound very different.

I guess if you haven't seen em talking in a video, you could make that mistake, but yeah they have pretty different voices.

I thought it was weird when I heard my friend and my little brother saying they couldn't tell the difference.  To me, it's obvious which voice is which.

I switched their voices for a few videos when I first joined, because I never used to watch Gamespot vids and really only knew them from writing. Now I'm mystified as to how I ever did that.

In the very very beginning im talking Arrow Pointing down days i thought Jeff was Ryan and Vice Versa but since then i have looked at all the videos obsessively enough that i can tell the differences.

i knew both of them from gamespot so no i guess, i learned their voices from on the spot (when it was good =p) so its kinda hard to mistake them when you can see them :D

Yeah when im listening to the bombcast in the background while i do assignments or whatever i have a tendency to loose track of who is saying what. 

They're all distinctive enough so I can tell them apart, but in the Bombcast's first months where Alex Navarro guested in, I mixed him up with Brad a lot.

Nope, but I've been listening to the GB crew since the Hotspot days.

When I first started listening I had some trouble, but I can tell who is who now.

I've been listening to these dudes for way to long to not know who is speaking.

that doesn't happen to me, but sometimes i get jeff and brad mixed up because they both have deep voices :P

Sometimes when I've started listening to a new podcast I've found that it's taken me a while to match the names to the voices but even way back when I first discovered Jeff and Ryan on Gamespot I never really got the two confused.

Happened to me when I first started listening to the podcast like two years ago. It's hard to separate voices from eachother when you don't know their faces. At least that's what I think.
I first found out about GB when I was searching for podcasts via iTunes and I liked the GB intro-tune. So yes, I started listening because they had a fun tune in the beginning. rofl.

It's not that apparent to a first-time listener.
But yeah, Ryan's voice is more adenoidal than Jeff's.

Very occasionally I get mixed up with Dave and Vinny if they're both on the podcast, but I work it out pretty easily.

Yeah I'll come clean. I first ever quick look I ever watched was for B-Boy, I thought Dave was Ryan and  vice versa. I didn't mistake Sean Coonce's voice for some reason though.....

if they're both on at the same time i can tell the difference since they're both talking, however if i'm not concentrating during the beginning of a quick look where they introduce themselves, or really whenever when it just one of them, i can definitly get mixed up.
 
actually, normally if it's jeff i can tell. however if it's ryan, i'll be all 'is that jeff or ryan'? 
 
no i don't know how that works either.

Ryan introduces himself at the top of every Bombcast. So, I've never had that problem...

I've never had that problem with the Bombcast.  Probably since I've been able to put names and voices to their faces for so long because of the Gamespot videos.  I had that problem with Idle Thumbs, though.  Could never remember which voice was Jake and which was Nick. 

Different voices, but allow me to separate their radio personalities for ya'.
 
Ryan: podcast host, mediator to topics, jokingly upset if things go astray, typically has a lot of "me too" responses to points made by other Bombcasters, perhaps the most representative of a general, non-hardcore audience. Less referential than Jeff, but more descriptive.
 
Jeff: knows a lot about games, either makes a profoundly historic reference or is simply profound, very obscure, has more a tendency to derail conversation into film/television territory, loves fighting games, loves campy. I would label Jeff as the most critically accurate and respectable of the Bombcasters. I, personally, feel that Jeff is more energetic and comical.
 
Or at least, that's my deduction. If you were to give me a manuscript of each episode and ask me to identify the speaker, I could probably do it. Been following them since prior to Giantbomb.

Never  had that problem on the Bombcast although in one or two quick looks I did get a little confused at some points for some odd reason. But that aside no I've never had such a problem.

I used to think that Jeff was Vinny and Vinny was Jeff on the ER. Then when I got used to it, Vinny's voice changed for some reason. Made it clearer, though.

Never, but I've been listening to them for about 5 years now.

I think they have very different personalities, and can easily tell their voices apart :)

When I first started watching, I hadn't really known or heard any of them and I always mistook them for each other. Not anymore though.

 
Yeh I hav'nt mixed them up, there all different enough for me to recognise them and take a liking to them, unlike some reviewers which are just robots with human voices and have no personality.

When I first started listening, about a year and a half ago, I had this very same problem.

The 1st time I heard the Bombcast I thought that Brad was Seth Rogen from Knocked up, and though it was cool that he was doing podcasts.
