I have to say that I'm not excited for it now. At PAX, the game felt like a slow paced FPS lacking too many RPG elements. I dunno what it is. i just don't like it as much as i thought I would. Hype this game up again for me guys.
I try not to get too excited for a game because there is a big chance that it will be somewhat of a let down. I am still looking forward to Borderlands though, the concept seems pretty cool, but then again cool concept don't always translate into good games.
You expected alot more from it (ie. getting hyped) and it didn't live up to it, like it happens for most games. I haven't watched much video or read into the game alot so I don't have any expectations from the game going into it so it might not seem so bad for me.
This is what ruined Too Human, as well. (I'm not saying Borderlands is ruined, btw) It's just that when TH came out people were expecting something totally different then what it actually was. Then the hate came in.
For me, when a game that is hyped comes out I don't look at videos and try to know as less about the game as I can - That way, when I get the game It's a nice surprise. Same with The Force Unleashed - being a huge Star Wars fan, I refused to listen to anything about the game until it came out, and then some. I read some bad reviews, then I played the game and was blown away.
Just think of all the guns and loot you'll be getting. Think about maxing out your characters. Think about exploring the huge world. Besides, if you base the game on (what I presume) was a short chance to play with it, you won't get a full sense of what the game actually is like. It's like watching the first 5 minutes of a movie and deciding that you don't like it.
