Could gears run on ps1?

if you had unlimited amount of money and programmers working for unlimited amount of time? could you make the game work on ps1 or something that look as good as that?

No. 

Definitely NOT!!!!  PS1 texturing sucked, you would be given tons of pop up and they would be much lower rez and hell oblivious the machine isn't HD.

Graphics-wise, probably not. Though many of you'd be surprised what you can do with limited hardware, nerdy coders and a lot of time.
 
Gameplay-wise, however, sure.

In short: no. The game could not be as long with its detail due to the limits of the Playstation 1 and CDs. Not only this, the PS1 could not properly display such detailed textures and stuff. I don't know much about consoles, but I know this is definitely not a possible thing to do. Consoles advance, and there is no way that you could advance to an extent where you could put something as detailed as Gears of War on a CD, or on a PS1.

there's no reason you couldn't make the exact same game, with the same mechanics, mission sctructure etc, but with PS1-level graphics. If you're asking whether the actual graphical assets could be done on PS1, the short answer is "No". The long answer is "FUCK no".

i generally don't call anyone a troll, but this is trolling the game, and the Xbox 360.

They could probably get the mechanics to work somewhat similarly, but obviously visually it'd never happen.

If you rigged it to simply be an input/display device like a hacked OnLive, maybe.
