I'm trying to think of some of the best/most memorable game scenes, tell me the scenes from games that you guys will always remember or just think that every gamer must experience.
for me in no particular order.... (may contain spoilers, read at your own risk
1. GTA4 - When Roman dies in GTA4 at the wedding
2. The sad ending to half life 2 episode 2
3. The intro to mass effect 2 and when they go through the omega relay
4. MGS1 - when master miller reveals himself as liquid snake!
5. Ninja Gaiden 2 - when the old man slices all those dudes up in a cut scene in one of the later chapters
6. FFX - when Tidus dies...
Greatest game scenes. May contain SPOILERS!
" The Darkness Spoilers;YES YES oh that was crazy I didn't expect it at all. Easily the best part of the game."In the Darkness when Jenny gets killed.
Let's be honest here: how many people would know what I'm talking about if I said "Battle of Barhara?" We all know "Aeris dies" or "Raiden runs around a metal bunker naked for 30 minutes", but not BoB. Besides, it's still in line with the thread; it doesn't detract from the discussion value in any way.

"I know, it was a good link too but I just secretly don't want other people to follow suit so just nod and agree ;)

But in all seriousness my favourite game scene, off the top of my head, is probably in Mass Effect 1, when you had to pick between Ashley and Kaiden. Hardest decision I've ever had to make in a game.
" The Darkness Spoilers;Speaking of The Darkness, the scene where"When Jenny gets killed.
Man that was intense. Oh, and the optional scene where
1. GTA4 - When Roman dies in GTA4 at the weddingThat only happens if you make the wrong choice.
The part in the Resident Evil remake for GameCube where
The introduction of The Flood.
Anju and Kafei sidequest in Majora's Mask. It's the way that it's happy but depressing at the same time that makes it very memorable.
In Jak 2, when
In Bioshock, I'm sure you all know which scene.
The ending of Shadow of The Colossus.
In Modern Warfare 1 and 2:
Half-Life 2:
Also, I agree with the Metal Gear Solid ones too.
" The introduction of The Flood. "Dude, yes. I remember that vividly.
To go with this: The Introduction to Halo: Combat Evolved. I had that entire scene memorized word for word, except for Johnson's speeches, because he had like, four. But everything else in that cut scene was burned into my brain ("Well that's it then, bring the ship up to combat alert Alpha, I want everyone at their stations." 'Everyone, sir?' "Everyone...and Cortana..." 'Hmm?' "Lets give our old friends a warm welcome." 'I've already begun.'). And again, first landing on the ring, after waking up from the escape pod, was pretty awe-inspiring.
Also, at the end, where you explode the fuck out of the Installation. Such a "Take that." moment. Especially after what they did to Foe Hammer. Damn Covenant.
...you know, instead of listing more scenes from it, I'm just going to say "Halo: Combat Evolved" and leave it there. So many amazing scenes for me.
The intro to Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge were also really memorable. There's a lot more, but I don't feel like typing out a large list right now.
" FFX - when Tidus dies... "Not to get to technical, but he was never really alive, he was just a dream. Although I must admit I got pretty sad when he started to vanish and Yuna ran to hug him, only to run right through and smack her face on the deck of the ship. :S
You are Revan.
Your master in Jade Empire betrays you.
The conversation with Sovereign.
The Alliance fleet saves the Destiny Ascension in Mass Effect 1.
Curing the werewolves in Dragon Age.
Garrus has reach.
Almost every aspect of Super Mario Galaxy.
Finally catching them all, only to later discover that there are now 500 new ones.
Duh The whole Andrew Ryan Bioshock thing, also the torture scene from MGS3, and though not great game Resistance 2 had an awesome ending.
" @nail1080 said:Yeah if you didn't kill Dimitri then you are scum.1. GTA4 - When Roman dies in GTA4 at the weddingThat only happens if you make the wrong choice. "
The plot twist at the end of Knight of the Old Republic is a good one and Bioshock had a good plot twist that I thought was pretty obvious but had a really good scene that revealed the twist.
" Heavy Rain's finger scene actually drove me to turn off the game afterwards. I had played until from the start until then in one sitting, and I physically had to stop. It was too much, I felt emotionally fatigued. Super rewarding.I would have felt the same way but I really, really wish that they didn't use that scene in the trailer. As soon as I walked in to that room I already knew the whole story and everything and it just kind of ruined it for me. I wish it would have actually came as a surprise."Chrono Dies.ine
The kinda intro scene to Gears of War 2 after the hospital attack, where the president is giving a kickass speech. While he's speaking they pan over to a scene of a massive COG army marching out. That scene got me so pumped i was ready to murder every locust.
That and re-introduction to Cole Train in in Gears 2.
A lot of you have mentioned some great scenes personally though I think the Halo 2 ending might just be one of the most universally emotionally enraging endings of all time. Thus technically making it a great scene, it really did make you want to "finish the fight" after all lol.
ahh i avoided this until now to avoid spoilers but it kept popping up, then the first thing i look at is a huge spoiler,
" @nail1080 said:To date, this is the only moment in a video game that has managed to make me cry. Such a moving moment, especially after spending over 120 hours with those characters over the course of my playthrough." FFX - when Tidus dies... "Not to get to technical, but he was never really alive, he was just a dream. Although I must admit I got pretty sad when he started to vanish and Yuna ran to hug him, only to run right through and smack her face on the deck of the ship. :S "
That and the introduction of the level next to that scene. Who would thought?" The Darkness Spoilers;
"When Jenny gets killed.
Silent Hill 2 spoilers
KOTOR Darkside ending.
Silent Hill Shattered Memories ending spoilers
Mass Effect early spoilers
Your spoiler tag on Shattered Memories is broken.
I guess the most recent one is the end of ME2 when Joker comes out and saves you.
I have kind of a bad memory so that's all I can think of right now : /
Oldie:
Deus ex
When you come out of the MJ12 base and realise where you are.
Or when the phone rings and when you pick up you get the creepy conversation from the AI.
MW2, the knife-thing, ya know. And also the ending to HL2:Ep2.
And for some reason, the drugged up girl you can meet in GTA:IV hit me in some way, that's was really terrifying.
