When I saw this it annoyed the hell out of me. This just proves that he was a horrible choice for the role. Maybe it will be different seeing him actually moving around in some action scene etc, but that pic is awful.
He looks like the prince from the second and third games of the newer series. But his his skin is a bit to light, no? They should hire a Persian to play a Persian. Or at least someone with darker hair and complexion.
Personally, I'll wait until this Prince of Persia movie hits DVD. Jake Gyllenhaal as the prince? Nope. I'll save my money thank you.
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying that he's a bad actor, far from that. It's just that he isn't persian or even close from that ethnicity. It's no different than in the 1950's - 1960's cinema white people portraying American indians. It's a joke!

agreed. im sure they could've found someone a lot better.
I think he looks quite good. The prince is suppoused to be a skilled warrior so I think it is reasonable that he have some muscle. Besides this is just an offset picture so it will probably look better on screen.
i think he is a good choice, he looks like the guy on the game cover. eh, try and find a good actor who is actually from that region, he wont be as good an actor as jake and jake looks good enough to play the part. i think he looks huge too, he was pretty ripped in jarhead, but he looks diesel now.

exactly my thoughts, somebody on imdb said he looked fat compared to jarhead, but to me, the difference between how he looked in jarhead and this is like the difference between a college football player and an nfl player. that dude is huge lol. hollywood actors are so lucky they get awesome trainers and perfect diets and supplements.
Looks like they're going with Warrior Within then. Oh well, could still be good I guess. It's got Alfred Molina and Ben Kingsley in it. But then Ben Kingsley was in Bloodrayne...

How does it look like they're going with warrior within?? He isn't wearing any clothes (torso), he has no blades, no tattoos, no scars, and his hair is not short and in his face. This is definitely the original sands of time look.
