Microsoft is kinda retarded

Well im 16 years old and im probably a retard for doing this but i put my real birthday for my xbl account. so i turn on my xbox today and i cant use facebook or twitter. i assume it is because im a minor but you have to be like 14 to make a facebook account so it should show up. im not devastated by this but a little disappointed in microsoft for this

But yes, if that is indeed the case with the facebook and twitter thing, then it sounds really really dumb. 
But I doesn't make sense to me why something like Twitter would do that.

Yeah, after the last major update it wouldn't let me download any game demos with an "M" rating. My "family settings" are all open, and I can still download "M" DLC. Luckily I'm 18 in two months, but I already missed out on the good stuff. (I'm lookin' at you, L4D2 Demo)

Well, that's a dick move by MS, but kudos to you for being honest. That's the way of the world man, we all had to wait 'til we got older for something. I do think it's extreme that you can't do Facebook/Twitter tho. Oh well.

Don't worry, you aren't missing anything. I checked out the facebook and twitter stuff on XBOX and it's worthless (even more worthless than they are normally). I mean, unless you plan on logging into your account and sitting there dedicating your entire television just to watching facebook and twitter updates? It's not like it (as far as I can tell) pops up information as it's updated to your screen while you're playing a game or watching a movie or anything.

 No way, Myspace is filled with intelligent people who are both wise and give out good advice to everyone who needs it :D

That is kind of lame, I will never use the new features but it is understandable for you to be pissed. To redeem itself, Microsoft needs to create software that analyzes people's voice and auto disables their mic if their voice is akin to scratching a chalk board with nails.

Who really wants to FB or Twitter from their 360? That I just don't understand to begin with.

Microsoft has said that the development team is working on an update that gives parents the choice of which social applications their children can access, 18 just has been the placeholder age for most application on Microsoft until this update is finalized.
