NXE Strikes Back With... Holiday Theme

Sony is in the spotlight today with the launch of Home on the PlayStation 3, but Microsoft ain't taking this one lying down, no sir! They've got their own interface-related announcement to make. It's a...uh...OK, it's a holiday theme for your NXE dashboard. I'm not doing a good job of feigning excitement here, am I? At least it's free (if you're a Gold member).

Nice Klungo gamerpic Brad.  I can't download this theme though...not a fan of the coats in the avatar wardrobe and I don't think I could stand watching myself freezing up there.

I like it. It's classy and makes me all warm and fuzzy.

Love the ice sculpture Xbox 360. I'll download it next time I turn my 360 on, and my avatar so needs some cloves, he must be freezing this time of year.

Brad your avatar looks a lot like you. The theme seems actually good, im only a silver member so...yeah there you go. I've yet to feel festive and its slightly bumming me out.

1. An Xbox made of ice? Leave it to the art department to solve all Microsoft's hardware problems

Nicely festive. I like it. I just hope that once Christmas is done, they release some kind of other free pack that's more interesting than the day and night ones. Unlikely, but a guy can hope.

It's the little things, like a free theme, that people react to the most...that being said...that looks awesome!

i wonder if home will do anything special this year for the holidays. i think its stupid how most places and things have christmas themed things, what about the other religions and holidays?  why not just a holiday theme. im an atheist so it doesnt really bother me,  but still seems like discrimination to the others.

It's eerie, isn't it? It's so saccharine-sweet, and yet, I can't help but love it. I'm so snagging this when I get home.

I dowloaded it,it's kool how much they did with it,and the fact that it's free makes it more awesome!

I appreciate a free premium update that isn't actually bad at all. That ice 360 is actually pretty spiffy looking. That being said I also enjoy my Fable II Knothole Island theme.

i was actually looking for a winter theme 2 days before this theme came out so what they did was spot on, love my avatar despite its current limited use.

That actually looks cool. I dig ice sculptures. They turn me on. Only not, I know, sad right? Oh well. I guess I'll live being the only person not incredibly aroused by statues of ice.

And TwoOneFive, this is a news-ish worthy thing because, well A) half of the stuff they put up here is just stuff the guys find interesting, and theres also the fact that the PS3 has had the same interface for quite a long time now lol. Not that there's anything wrong with it, I love it, but the 360 has a new interface, and if you read it, you'd see they were just interested because its  the "best use so far I've seen of the premium themes"

Also, your coming off a bit fanboyish. Since the actual release of NXE, they haven't posted anything but this, and general NXE info. They don't announce every new theme. So stop it, please.

this is actually a pretty good theme. and it's free, that's my favourite price. :D

It's tempting to delete all my old themes. Now they're just in the way on the themes list >_<

Wow thats almost nothing like what they did in Phantasy Star, Everquest Online, WoW, and a billion other online games... almost nothing like it!  and those dont even look like Miis.
