" @DVombatus said:Quoted for truth, sir. I sighed at Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, starring a character we already know in a location we already know. I cried for the next 35 minutes. Then I picked up my jaw off the floor after the GRFS trailer. This was followed by 20 more minutes of sighing and crying." Ubisoft, 2010. That shit was tragic. "I don't think any press conference has ever made me experience the extreme range of emotions that Ubisoft 2010 has. "
Poll: Worst E3 Press Conference in the past 5 years.
Wow that guy playing the drums on the wii was funniest thing I've seen in awhile. Definitely Nintendo '08.
I don't see everyone's problem with Ubisoft's conference. I thought Future Soldier looked awesome and AC: Brotherhood looks promising. While not my thing, Shaun White Skateboarding looks like the direction Tony Hawk should have found a couple years ago and could turn out alright. I would have preferred a 3D Rayman, but at least they're bringing him back.
I don't get the hate. Microsoft on the other hand...yeah.
" @FireBurger: Yeah, I'm kind of on the same boat with ya... Ubi showed some legitimate shit... then they showed off Laser Tag and Breathing: The Game, and seeing that same exercise game twice is horrendous.... "Yeah, true the exercise thing was boring as hell. As for the laser tag: looks like something kids would love, especially if it offers some sort of customization like how many hits you can take until you're out or something. Not for us, but could be cool.
The presentation and the presenters are always awful! Not sure why they keep treating the people of the audience like children.
Out of the press conferences in that poll I have to go with Sony 2006, Giant Enemy Crab should never be forgotten. My real least favourite though was Ubisoft 2009, it was such a drawn out affair of casual titles and motion control games before they would show Assassin's Creed. This years may have not been the best press conference ever but at least we didn't have to sit through a lengthy talk on the tween games market.
MIcrosoft was just awful this year. No amazing reveals. At least Ubisoft had some games to announce, even if the entire middle portion of their presentation bored me quite a bit. With Microsoft, I kept thinking, "OK, MS, where are the games? This is awesome minigame stuff, but you've got some great game announcements coming right after you get this stupid Kinect stuff out of the way, right? RIGHT?!"
But they never came.
The games never came.
Don't forget this disaster: Jamie Kennedy hosting Activision in 2007
" Sony 2006 was pretty funny. "I found it to be more unintentionally hilarious than embarrassing for them. But man, did they misjudge the market. I forgot that they were actually asking $600 for a console in 2006.
not mentioned but sony e3 '09, the "motion sensing controllers" that were just wiimotes with orbs on top... and the terrible graphics display they used to show it off... worst eva.
" Don't forget this disaster: Jamie Kennedy hosting Activision in 2007 "Oh man, I never saw that conference. That was literally painful to watch.
He was a guest on a really good local radio show about a month ago. He came off as a really cool and insightful guy that's nothing like his on-screen persona. It's a shame he doesn't go that route, instead of the unfunny goofball he acts like on stage and in movies." @Monkeygb21 said:

Also, he dated Jennifer Love-Hewitt. Not a big accomplishment in Hollywood, apparently (she gets around), but man I would love to have a go at that.
" I fucking hate you guys, stop shitting all over motion controls just because they are motion controls. For what they are and say they will do, they do it. "/thread
hating on E3, oh im so cool and edgy....
These are some nice poll options.
Sony 2006 was so bad. It turned a whole lot of anticipation into a lot of fanboy hate, but at least it was hilarious with some historic E3 moments.
Microsoft 2010 was really really bad from a gamer's point of view. It was a real snoozefest for the people watching from the live stream, because there were hardly any games (though the ones they showed were pretty cool) and the Kinect stuff maybe didn't translate that well onto the live stream (though I think the games and uses for it are genuinely uninteresting). The Oprah moment and the aftermath was interesting I guess...
Nintendo 2008 is the worst though, because they had absolutely nothing. Nothing for the press, nothing for the gamers. Boring.
I was tempted to go with Sony Aught-Six but they're problem was being clueless and suffering for a Jobs-level reality distortion field. Nintendo Aught-Eight was just condescending which really rubbed me the wrong way.
MS Twenny-Ten was bad but no where near as bad as the first two.
Nintendo ranks at the top of my list just because there were so many mind-boggling moments throughout the conference culminating with the bizarre Wii-Music orchestra. After that Microsoft 2010 and then Sony 2006. Micro's this year was 80% boring and embarrassing for the people on stage, while everything seemed to be broken during the Sony conference which was more sad than anything else.
" Nothing can ever top Sony 2006. 599 US Dollars ad Giant Enemy Crab. "This basically. I shat bricks at that price, especially being in retail selling the damn things. We sat on those launch consoles for weeks before they sold. Also Giant enemy crab needs no introduction.
