What the fuck is Xentax? Anyway, I played Duke Nukem Forever for about six hours and Jeff was right. That game is fucking boring. Everything that happens when Duke's mouth is closed sucks major donkey balls.
So apparently Jeff Gerstmann is a "crap reviewer"...
This topic is locked from further discussion.
The obvious thing to do now is demand that all those crap reviewers be fired, including Jeff. It is unfortunate, but because they generated a score they felt accurately reflected their opinion of the game, and because that score was lower than what xentax believed the game should have scored, those reviewers do not deserve to work in the gaming media business. A huge thanks to xentax for conducting this study and weeding all of the horrible reviewers out. Otherwise we would have to go on for the rest of our lives reading reviews that are only used to attract attention to each reviewers respective site.
1. That site is super sketch.
2. That guy thinks reviewers should be objective when that is not what we want here.
3. The fact that they closed comments tells me he knew the shit storm he was going to start and it was all just for hits, the exact thing he was attacking the reviewers he highlighted for.
Congratulations on being an ignorant hypocritical writer. Also, he wrote in the third person and introduced himself unless he is credited for writing a part of that article that he did not so..he might be clinically insane. It was a good laugh though.
Soooo now there are reviews of reviewers!?! Well then, allow me to submit my review of a reviewer who reviews reviewers: Xentax has too much time on his hands, I mean come on all those charts, graphs, and grading system to say he dosn't like some reviews? Xentax is a real waste.
"Objectivity" doesn't exist in any form of reviewing, or indeed any realm of opinion, since objectivity itself is the lack of expressed opinion. A reviewer is simply giving an opinion, and said reviewer gains trust by proving that his/her opinion is not determined by anything other than his/her views on the product being reviewed. Jeff, in this regard, is a trusted reviewer. He proved both in his Twilight Princess and Kane and Lynch reviews at GameSpot that he's not going to be swayed by fanboys, corporate pressure or anything else, and for that, he should be lauded.@BoG said:
But isn't there at least something approaching an objective way to critique games?Ha ha ha, his whole blog is based on the assertion that there is an objective way to critique a video game. Oh, that was a good little giggle.

Found.i definitely care about what Xentax says
...at least that's what Xentax.com says:
And as you can see Jeff isn't the only one he thinks is "crap". All of this over Duke Nukem Forever reviews. This guy must really like Duke.
There are two ways a way to post about attention whore sites like this one.
1) Copy/paste the ENTIRE article, and do not post a link to the actual site.
2) Don't post about attention whore sites in the first place.

Seriously. Part of that guys argument is that the reviewers are crap because they DIDN'T AGREE WITH HIM.
I'm confused.
Is this thread about Jeff Gerstmann or Dr. Mike W. Zuurman A.K.A. Mr. Mouse
http://www.xentax.com/html/zuurmancv.html
Also as far as Xentax goes, it's about reverse engineering game file formats as can be seen here:

PS,
Check out Mr. Mouse's "interesting" review of Rage (which, for the record, I don't entirely agree with)
I'm not sure if this guy knows how Metacritic works.
For there to be an average, there must be some reviews below and some over the median. Calling out people based on a scale that they have themselves generated seems...
foolish.
Edit: Wait this is 4 months old. I've probably said this already!
I just love the way he felt the need to add a watermark (that's not even faded) to his home-made list like everyone was going to steal it.
Thanks for necroing this for us. I think I speak for everyone here in saying that we appreciate your efforts and gladly welcome you to Giant Bomb community.I'm confused.
