For single player games, I'd like to say Rogue Spear, but I'm leaning against it. Probably NSFU 2. Some thoughts:
Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear - This is tied for #1. It's a great game - so many intense moments of terrorist hostage rescues, and I've had some great experiences.
Fifa/Madden/MVPbaseball/sports - Hm...maybe....but this is sort of a party game, and a lot of it was multiplayer.
Need for Speed Underground 2 - This one is interesting, because its the only game that I didn't really play with anyone else. What made the previous two choices memorable was often my experiences with friends and family, this one was for the most part a lonely experience. But this was fun - driving never ceases to enjoy, especially at fast speeds. Even more so, the game world was so sadly beautiful, you have this real lively paradise that's always raining or night time, never sunny, it's sort of a majestic environment. \
Doom 3 - I don't know why I mentioned this game, because it sucks, it just had great graphics and a sort of memorable universe. Very depressing. Most scary games are depressing. That's probably why I didn't enjoy STALKER SoC as much as I would've liked to. I really wanted to like that game, because its such a beautiful secenery and atmosphere.
For multiplayer games, Halo takes the crown:
Halo - Played this with friends, I'd say this is probably #1 for that reason. Memories with real life friends beats any online buddies.
Wolfenstein ET - The environment is pretty awesome, and it's an intense and fun game that requires, to an extent, team work, and is focused on objectives. A great game for TF2 lovers because its very similar.
Team Fortress 2 - The first game I really got involved with a community. Most games, I might have known the people, but I really didn't make friends or post on the forums of the server I regularly visited.
Battlefield 2 - Didn't play it that much but it was a grand game, epic in scope. I had a somewhat big stint with it, but it just faded away.
Red Alert 1 and 2 - I've played this a lot with friends, but it's a really one dimensional game in-all. Meh.
Some random extras:
HL2 - I didn't enjoy the game. Episode Two was a lot more fun, had some great scenes. But it too was riddled with some boring parts. The gameplay needs work. The story is what made this series great, methinks.
Far Cry - Too frustrating for me to like it. Graphics were too cheesey.
Nintendo games - I've played my fair share of them, and I love them. They're timeless. I don't want to call them favorite because they're just good games, that's what Nintendo does.
I never really realized how much I loved NSFU 2 until I started posting about it on this forum. Halo was a no-brainer more or less, for me. Someone mentioned art. I think the most artistic games are generally not the most fun. But it's a factor that made NSFU2 and R6 my favorites. Also, favorite games doesn't necessarily mean best games, they're my favorites because I've had great memories and experiences with them.
