I suppose this is just a case of knowing your market, gamers are expected to be men who probably have such a dearth of perspicacity that they need a woman in a bikini to hold their interest. I have to say, I find this vaguely unsettling since presumably there is an audience for "pimp tv", who are happy with substandard coverage as long as such coverage is bolstered by some ample cleavage (then again, without these people Jessica Chobot would probably be out of a job). Jessica Chobot actually knows her shit. Yeah, her career got started by a picture of her licking a PSP and she knows that, but she wouldn't have gotten so far if she didn't know her stuff.

This is sillier than shit. Y'know, I can actually seperate my luv for games from my love for boobs. In fact, I can look at a ladies face, listen to what she says, try to grasp intelligence, personality, try to understand her, and not see boobs even once. I cannot understand more being needed to hear about Bioshock; Infinite, and grasp if she knows games.

It seems every stupid thing works. I mean, everybody said ActiVision were morons when they priced Modern Warfare 2 twice as high as other games, and then sold small map packs for the price of a decent budget game - but it still became the best selling shooter of all time, and even the DLC probably sold more copies than all good games in existence combined.

It'd be more entertaining if it was a CG rendered-animated girl mo-capped reading the news. Then it would serve two purposes, news and video game fapping material. This isn't a new idea. The "Naked News" has been online for nearly a decade, I think and there are few bikini-clad weather girls in Europe and Mexico. Google Petroula Kostidou, Gaál Noémi and Mayte Carranco just to start. If non-gamers also get this treatment, why should any gamer be specifically offended. Giggle at the absurdity and move on with your life.
