There's an AD!!!

Hurray, the folks that work at Giant Bomb have a viable income source!

Yeah, i followed suit and disabled adblock-plus and gave them a few clicks.
I've just decided to disable it for the site for now. This has been the first time i've seen an ad on here, so i'll be able to get my click on if i see any more.

It's an odd day when people on forums are celebrating ads and even pointing them out to others. Good on the GB crew as well, now they can quit their night job as a Mexican mariachi band.

I wondered why the site went offline for a while.

It's good that they are getting funds, and the advert itself looks OK on the page, if all adverts could do that in future I have no problem with them. It's only intrusive shit like those commonly found on Gamespot that drives me fucking mad.

You guys should get advertising for the Tales of the Black Freighter on DVD/Blu-ray.  I was going to buy that anyways, and I'll tell them Giantbomb sent me!

I have adblock disabled for giantbomb. I dont mind ads but sometimes they are so intrusive and annoying.

You can disable Adblock Plus for specific sites. That's what I've done.

I saw it on the 'User' page. You know these guys are doing something right when they get people excited about them having ads on their site :P

Maybe we should all click on it, and possibly by said product? That would probably help Giant Bomb a little more than just looking at it.

I have giantbomb on my ad-block exception list as well. You know you have a loyal fanbase that loves the site when people are happy about ads :)

Yeah I always put my favorite sites on the exemption list.  Although Giant Bomb is on there and I still haven't seen this ad you guys are talking about.  Does it only show up some of the time?

I like how this has become the "Disable Ad-Block Plus on Giant Bomb" thread. I disabled it for the whole site. :)

Glad to see some ads coming in, it can't be cheap to run this site.
