I'd have to give it to the PS3 this year. It had some pretty amazing exclusives.
What is the best video game platform of 2009?
PS3 is possibly the winner, but PC had some great games as well, plus i own one, so my vote goes for the PC
I voted for pc, all the steam sales were helpful, multiplatform ports were good with very high resolution and I spent most of my time playing pc games even though I have a console. It definetely gets my vote.

The PC has been around a long time too, ever changing, though somehow always the same. 1987's Kingdom of Kroz still works. :)

"I figure if I had posted first, you'd be asking me the same thing, so I'll answer to: I like experiencing my games at their best. I find that the PC platform gives me that. Older games also get better over time too as I'm able to turn up the settings more on each new PC or install patches and mods that improve aspects of the games. Lastly, I'm very much into the indie games and modding scene, which is unparalleled on the PC. There's just a lot of good about it that keeps me hooked. :)

Either way I voted PC. Nothing better than building it up yourself.

That's a good answer and one I would probally use. I also own a ps3 btw, I choose pc because I play pc games the most, I don't like to compromise anything. I really like 3rd party games more than brand loyalist games, it's what sells the most and it's best on the pc.

I'm PC btw
ps3 indeed. Don't have one, only got an Xbox and I really really want Uncharted 2 and inFamous. AAAAAARGH!
Which console did I use the most? Easy, PS3. But which console did I actually game on the most? 360. But PS3 had much better exclusives, including uncharted 2. So better quality. So I vote for ps3. Just a better all around experience. DVDs, internet browsing, games, exclusives, and hardware.
My 360 RRoDed again this year too. Wondering if 360 blew their load to early. Maybe PS3 is starting to explode into a much better console.
Ps3 in my opinion. I believe the 360 had about 4-6 exclusives this year. Next year will be better I believe with Reach, Conviction, possible Too Human sequel, Alan Wake. But I've been decaying at my desks playing Cryostasis and Far Cry 2 the past 2 months. So I'm kinda split between PS3 and PC.
I think we definitely need to see them release a console revision next year, alongside Natal. A slim lined model, with no hardware issues that comes bundled with Natal would likely draw in a bigger audiance. I wouldn't say it's over the 360 just yet though, they're library of games for 2010 already beats anything else, and they tend to hold back most of their big announcements for E3, so it'll definitely be interesting to see what they have planned." But for 2009? The PS3, easily had the most, and highest quality exclusives.
Although I finally got a PSP this year, and think I've spent the most amount of time with that.
Personally it's been the 360 for me. The console definitely has its issues but I always say the thing that really matters to me in a console is its library of games and on that front I think the 360 has come out on top this year. Not that I don't love my other consoles too.
I voted PS3, and I'd have picked PC as my number two choice. Leaving off the Wii is an embarrassment to this poll though, and subsequently invalidates it. Especially, since the Iphone/Ipod Touch and cell phones are there, but not the Wii. Sad.
The PS3. inFAMOUS, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, more content for Batman: AA and Assassin's Creed 2, Sony leaning in Brutal Legend, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time, Demon's Souls, Bad Company 2 beta, Fat Princess, Flower, Noby Noby Boy, Polish XMB, the PSP Go. So much shit happened this year for that platform.
I'm hoping to see a real battle in Q1 of 2010 with PS3's God of War, MAG and Heavy Rain vs Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mass Effect 2 and basicly Bayonetta (because it is pretty much confirmed that the 360 version is the superior one).
The Wii won hands down. People at this site like to think that the 12-24 year old male demographic is the only thing that matters. I went to my family's Christmas party, and EVERYONE was talking about how much they love the Wii.
You all may think oh the Wii is lame, that's because its not made for you. And to think your demographics opinion is the only one that matters is pretty dumb and arrogant.
