I've played like... Tales of symphonia, baten kaitos, and games like zelda and obribion.
and i want to play like a turn based role playing game thats pretty champy.
i dont have a ps3 though, not yet, i'm too cheap to buy it now. but i have everything else.
I've never really played any final fantasy except for christal chronicles, if anyone remembers that game.
Any recommendations?
What rpg should i play?
Id recommend Losy Odyyssey, the main "problem" ive seen people bring up with that game is that it does nothing new its "just" a jRPG but since you apparently havent played a lot (or any) turn based jRPG then it would be a good place to start I think, especially since its really easy to get and relativly cheap from what ive seen.
Wait, what the hell is Obribrion? I've never heard of such a game, and I play some really obscure crap.
Well if you liked Tales of Symphonia then I'd say keep going with that and try Tales of Vesperia. And if you're looking for something cheap I'd say Mana Khemia, I just finished it and it's pretty fun and very addictive.

So I can see why he would add that, although it is classified under Action/Adventure." Golden Sun on the GBA "This and then Golden Sun: The Lost Age Fallout 3 Mass Effect Tales of Vesperia By the way, Zelda isn't an RPG "
How come people can never decide on what RPGs to play and keep asking us at GB to decide for them? Strange. Go with FFX, that's great fun despite the rather irritating characters.
" @AgentJ said:If you want to use those definitions, then every game ever made would be an RPG. If Zelda is an RPG, Assassins Creed is an RPG. Like you said, it is an Action Adventure." @RLLink said:In a sense it is, Mainly it's adventure, but you are building your character up, finding new items, and learning new skills, playing a role through a story. Let me give you a hint: Golden Sun.
" @AgentJ:Oh thank god, I thought I was really missing something. Look earlier in the thread : )

Looks like you just being you: loving Golden Sun, Fallout 3, and Zelda not being an RPG :P.
I am, too, to an extent: avoid discussing Halo 3, hump Fire Emblem 4 like a horny dog trying to rub all the peanut butter off its crotch (that's the best analogy I could make), and write blogs that people haven't been reading as of late.

"You sure do love your FE. Honestly, I try to read your blogs, but I forget unless they are on the front page!
You mean you forget to look at your Friend's Activity tab at the bottom? Besides, I usually try to post them at the same time of day so as to get maximum exposure while I'm available.
Oh, I will think nothing o-*flash assassination*. Sorry, I've been playing a lot of Assass...well, I can't apologize to you, you're dead. *walks out of thread*

Quality stuff if I do say so myself. As you know I gave it a 4/5. I'm supposed to say something cryptic and thoughtful now, aren't I? Oh well. *throat slit*
Oh, shit. The guards are after me. Well,
Gotta keep one jump ahead of the breadline
One swing ahead of the sword
Oh wait, this isn't the right game at all.
(Also, throat slit? I thought Altair was always wiping a little paper slip on their bloody necks. You know, so he had proof that he killed the guy.)
If you don't mind long cut-scenes, can stand the thought of Chopin being physically violent, and like attempted deep philosophy, then Eterna Sonata's a pretty decent choice. Seriously, despite the flaws it may have (some will consider them pros), it's a rather enjoyable game with a different enough battle system.
I should note that the game is rather linear, so if you're into exploring, there's not much of that here. That said, exploration is normally a big factor in my RPGs, but I still find this great.

I always thought it was a little blade that he brought to the people.
Oh, and the Aladdin reference was hilarious.
I plan on doing it in my blog. Oh, and I wish I had a video capture device so I could have done that for a YouTube video. (And that there were random piles of shit in Jerusalem or Damascus :P.)
