Re4 maybe was a bad example. More like Dead Space. I want the overall mood to stay in there but I agree the suspense would take a hit being able to see whats coming at you.
I don't know, I thought Lost In Nightmares done a very good job of having an old school Resi feel with RE4 gameplay. As far as I'm concerned Resi 6 should be in that style.
I would love to see remakes of Resident Evil 2,3 and Code Veronica. But not only high-rezed crap like Capcom is doing now, but full-on remakes like they did with Resident Evil Remake.

honestly, do you really want to see the company that just put out ffxiii remake ffvii? they're just not as good as they used to be. besides, ffvii stands well enough by itself.
The SMT: Persona and Persona 2 remakes are cool but I kinda wish they'd remake them in the style of P3 and P4, or at the very least the should have released both Persona 2's as a single downloadable XBLA and PSN title.

FFXIII looked nice, though. All I want is a graphics update, and the cutscenes should be done in a quality that matches what Square did with Advent Children. I wouldn't mind if they added voice acting with the ability to disable it for those who don't want It. Other than that, keep everything the same. That shouldn't be too hard even for the Square Enix of today.

Square Enix is waiting 'till they can justify charging an arm and a leg for a remake they now you guys want, and if they do do a remake they'll find someway to piss people off. Personally I never like VII as much as everyone seem to, VI will always be my favorite.

Other than the graphics and the translation, right? I'd love to see an HD release on the PSN/XBLA with a new translation and updated character models, that's all the game needs.

Star Wars Galaxies with new graphics, the old combat, and the old way of becoming a Jedi: pure luck, no picking it as a class, you just get a dice roll and happen to go through the skill branch that the computer picked for you without telling you.
Or better yet, you make that, but with a universe that isn't boring.
Persona 1 and 2. Just because I feel like the tech is so much better and those games are so story driven, that having more (or any?) vo and animated scenes would make them more appealing. Not to mention that the persona series has evolved so much. Also, those games are crazy hard to come across.
Now that you mention it, I'd love to see what a modern version of Dark Cloud would be like. Been so long since Dark Cloud 2 it would probably have to be The Dark Cloud

I'd kind of like to see a 3d remake of Final Fantasy 6, but I already think that game is perfect so that may do it harm if characters have weird voice acting or something or if they poorly shove it on the DS or something.
A Final Fantasy 7 remake would be cool too. Not my favorite game, but i think it is deserving of a remake. It's just that I don't think the Advent Children art style would fit with that game. Cloud did some really goofy stuff that fits with the popeye armed cloud. But I can't see a realistic Nomura-style Cloud snowboarding, dressing in drag, playing hoops in the golden saucer, climbing on top of planes, and jumping around graveyards. They need to have 8 character models like the original.
Also I know they are re-releasing Metal Gear solid 2 and 3, but I wish they could make those two play like 4. 3 is close, but from what I remember shooting was still kind of weird. Acts 1 and 2 of MGS4 are so good, but I'd like to play something like that with the story and environments of MGS 1, 2, and 3. I kind of consider MGS4 to be my least favorite story wise.
I had a bunch in mind, but right now as I think about it, I think it'd be nice to have a Freedom Fighters remake with a message that says "Hey, we're making a sequel!". And as much as people hated it, I think they should get a second chance and remake Haze. Although it's something I would highly doubt ever to happen again, I'd love to see a remake of Far Cry Instincts. Well, more like a graphical update so it can look like Far Cry 3, then another Far Cry with Jack Carver.
Dragon Ball Z Budokai 3... DON'T JUDGE ME!!!! Seriously though that is still to this day the best DBZ game ever made and I still play it regularly.
I wouldnt mind if they just remastered it and made it HD and shit because that game is fine the way it is. Even if it doesnt have my second favourite DB character of all time... Cooler
Viewtiful Joe HD collection. That's the only one I can think of really wanting And maybe a Kingdom Hearts HD collection for when the 3rd comes out (this one is actually a joke - because the 3rd is never coming out!)
