Ubisoft: Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed and I feel like they put quality first in their games.
Who is your favorit game developer and why?
" Ubisoft: Splinter Cell, Assassin's Creed and I feel like they put quality first in their games. "Good choice. I freaking love Ubisoft Montreal.
Harmonix, BioWare, Bethesda Game Studios, and a few others I can't remember right now (some favorites they must be. >.<).
Rockstar; every game they've made that I've played I've absolutely loved. Closely followed by Bethesda; for Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

I'm usually a big fan of Harmonix, mostly for their determination to add more to a genre that's already flooded and dying out in popularity. It's unfortunate that they're being sold, but I'm glad that they were able to make the Rock Band franchise what it is today despite their mother company losing millions on them.
Valve is pretty good, too. I like the idea of extended support for most of their products, especially if you're playing on a PC. Although they get a lot of shit for having their own definition of time, I'm happy that they take the amount of time needed for the studio to be satisfied with what they release to the market. Sometimes the wait times are obscene, but it always seems to be worth it in the end.
Telltale Games. They make games of my favorite genre; they work well with licenses; they write funny stories and clever dialog; they mastered the episodic format; they have a very good online store that gives you a free collector's boxed edition if bought a whole season digitally from them; they put a great deal almost every month; and they seem to have a tremendous appreciation for their fans and costumers. It's the only developer I'll pre-order a game from even if there's no discounts or exclusive incentives, just because I trust the quality of their games and want to support them while still in development.
I have three: BioWare, Bethesda, and Nintendo. Bioware for the amazing interactive stories they make. Bethesda because it's just a whole ton of fun to mess around in the worlds they create. Also, although somewhat problematic, I must say that people tend to overexaggerate the glitchyness of their games. Finally Nintendo, just because.
" BioWare! Why? ALL their games speak for themselves. "As much as I love BioWare, I have one BioWare game that refutes your argument.
Nintendo, Bioware, and a little company that nobody else has mentioned, Grasshopper.
ALL their PC games speak for themselves :)
" @GhostlyEnigma: oh, right... I forgot that one :P But I've never played it, actually. I should rephrase what I said before about BioWare: ALL their PC games speak for themselves :) "No, I-I can't agree with that either.
This wasn't their best game, but it wasn't a great debut for them either.

It used to be Westwood for making the greatest gaming franchise ever in Command and Conquer, but then EA killed them and took a big old steaming shit on their legacy.
Runner up would be Bioware, but I don't like the direction they have been taking their games in for a few years now- I hate how they are always going out of their way with each new iteration of their franchises to dumb down/straight up remove almost every RPG element in all their games- and I'm starting to lose interest more and more with each passing year. My love for them was reignited with Dragon Age and seeing them return to their RPG roots as much as anyone can in this day and age, but then seeing them go out of their way with the 2nd one to dumb it down to the levels of Mass Effect 2 felt like a real betrayal to me as a life long fan of their games and has really hurt my view on them.
I'm still withholding judgment on them for after I play Dragon Age 2, but so far literally every thing I have seen or read about the game up to now has me shaking my head in disgust with what they are doing to that franchise.
