No. As a PC gamer,i hope it won't come down to it soon.
Would you be willing to drop $70 per game next gen?
I always was and still am a selective buyer of games.
Only the best games i buy.
Therefore i don't have an extensive game collection.
2009 was an exceptionally expensive gaming year for me since there were so many good titles.
2010 is bound to be another.
To answer your question, i probably will pay the $70 because, as Binman88 said, we in Europe pretty much pay that amount for a game already.
No. As it is, I only buy games at full price if I'm really excited about them and am sure I'll get a lot of play out of it.
Everything else can wait 'till it's cheaper.
$70 (US) would be ok for me, that would be 368 DKR.
I would have no problem paying 368 for a next gen game instead of 550dkr (104$ US)
But then again, I'm not crying about the "high" prices now.
But for people who are still in school or just can't get a job it would be a great price drop
I've talked about this with my mates. We pretty much came to the conclusion that we would either stop gaming or wait and get games when they are less expensive.
If the games warranted it, sure. However, if we continue to do this thing where we bump it up 10 dollars per gen, than were going to have a problem down the line.
Hell no, I hate paying as much as we do for games, it's pretty ridiculous. I try to buy used games as much as possible.
no i'm not but i put maybe cause there are games that i would be buying at 70$ if that was the price. also heck some other countries are paying that much or even more so i shouldnt complain if thats the price.
Last game I paid full price for was Beatles: Rock Band, and that was only as a favor to my friend so he could get a discount on another game. Before that was probably GTA IV back in April 2008.
Games I'm interested in, I'll pick up when they're $20-30 cheaper, at least. So I would say that I won't pay $70 for a new game, seeing as I don't pay $60 for a new game right now.
Don't care; it's the price here in Canada.

You can always wait for price drops, buy used games or rent games, like I do. Buying new games right when they come out isn't the only way to play video games." So anyone that said no, assuming games will cost $70 new, you are going to quit playing new video games? "
" next gen will still use DVD or BR so why the fuck they would charge more? or worse why is some people willing to pay more for old tech? "I don't think the storage medium plays much part in pricing. Games costed $50-60 when they were on CD.
Depends on what the next generations graphics and game length are really. Other than that, I said yes.
